It looks like a lot of nice and thoughtful functionality was added. But I must admit the look drives me batty. The new look is enough to make me miss the old design. Why is everything light on light? Shouldn't there be more contrast? It's like everything's trying to be purposefully hidden.

 

It's very interesting that by default when you post to a thread the thread automatically adds you as a Subscribed watched thread which sends you instant email updates. My phone is blowing up haha. So all you need to do is click "unwatch Thread" at the top of the page.

 

I just wrote a HUGE reply to this thread, and this "updated" (ahem) site kept saying ", saving draft). Then when I was almost bloody finished, the site went mental and my last tap made me go back to a previous page. Going back to this page erased EVERYTHING. so much for " saving drafts ".

So where is my so called "saved" post, eh?

NOT impressed right now.

 

I really like how nice this looks on my mobile device.

 

I really like the new look and the interface is not that different. Most of the changes make things easier so that always good.  

 

Are the file size regulations for avatars and signatures still in place? If yes it would've been a nice touch to remind people in the respective options how big an image (both in resolution and file size) can be.

The avatar option says 200 x 200 which will still be scaled down to 100 x 100 anyways, that’s not that helpful.

Click on your user name and select "Preferences". There's an option to turn this off. vBulletin behaved this way as well, though I don't recall which way was the default.

 

Thank you. Under Preferences, I see the option to stay subscribed automatically, but can disable the email notifications.

My PM box is 526% full is this something I need to fix or are the limits going to increase?

 

Can we at least have 25 posts/threads per page, if we can't select it ourselves? Having only 20 per page makes the sightings forum unwieldy, since it's no longer "permanently alphabetical".

Also, can the TITLE of the latest active thread in each forum be displayed instead of WHEN a thread was most recently active, when viewing the forum home page? Vs the currently unhelpful list of "3 mins ago, 14 mins ago"?
