this is what i'm most excited about. a flood of new customs in honour of a late member.  

 

I agree what I would do would be movie prime or brawl. Prime for example would require the peterbuilt model kit that would need not only airbrushed flames, but scratchbuilt chains as well as working lights. I would litrerally make an exact replica of the movie prime. I also have the materials to make ratchet, which would take quite a bit of custom building in addition to the H2 body. So it is quite a bit more than an autobot logo on a car, I am talking about a completly acurate replica. But if thats not acceptable I understand I could always do a custom paintjob on a toy( I have enough of them)

I wasn't saying that you weren't going to be putting any work in it. That's not what I meant at all. I meant, that for the spirit of this contest, it'd be better if it was an actual transformer.

This is awesome. I am not a kitbasher myself beyond a few added paint details(my biggest project to date has been taking a sharpy to TM BW Megatron), but i do thoroughly enjoy the work of others and I do find this to be a great way to honor one of our lost comrads

Actually, it won't take any more of your bandwidth for you to host that picture; since it loads only once from your server, all other instances of that image are being read from cache.

Well, of course if you don't want them to do it it'd be rude. But allowing to do it for that one image would be a nice gesture.

Does just repainting count, or does there have to be more extensive modification?

 

From what I got out of it, you can do a repaint or do something modified, and then all the entries (once limited to 3 repaints and 3 modified) will be voted on to find one winner.
