I remember we did this last year and it was cool. It's just for fun and bragging rights. I started a group on ESPN.com for us so if anyone wants to join, feel free. Go to ESPN.com and search the bracket groups for: group name: TFW2005 password: boombox
Ah, yes, Tourney Time. I was at work during selection Sunday, and plum forgot about it. Guess I have a little research today, so I can pick those all-important 8/9 games correctly.
A 12-5 upset occurs every year. I can totally see another George Mason happening. South Alabama, perhaps?
http://games.espn.go.com/tcmen/groupfind?entryIDFrom=594819 Head to that page and put TFW2005 in the search box in the center of the screen. edit: you already have to be signed in over there for that link to take you to the right page.
I'll probably do one tomorrow morning. I'm a little down this year because my coworkers would appear to care less about doing brackets at the office. We have over 100 employees here, and not ONE frickin' person is interested in doing the pool I started. These people utterly amaze me at times and have zero ounce of humor or fun in their veins.
Toldja. I'm totally done listening to punditary with this tournament. It's utterly ridiculous what they say at times, particularly because when they're wrong they never have to explain themselves. How many of these morons predicted USC and Drake to be a darkhorse? Nobody ever really knows. It doesn't matter if you're hot down the stretch. If you play good defense and make key shots, anybody can win.
I have observed this phenomenon before. Maybe the pundits should get their wives to predict games instead.
