This line will go up in my book if we get a Rosanna figure.

I love the fact that Hasbro and Takara have really been going "all in" with these nostalgia gimmicks. Sure, I'm probably too old to get the most out of the play pattern, but I love the fact that its there. I was a bit skeptical of all the remolds/retools in the Combiner Wars line, but the play pattern made it work imho. So I'm willing to keep an open mind as to all the Neo-headmasters that are coming out. With that said, I do hope they find away to get to all of the original headmasters that are currently downgraded to the "titan master head assortment price point", as I think it would be a shame to leave so many iconic characters unfinished. Though it would be ironic if they didn't fix that issue, as so many of our 80s headmasters ended up being headless robots.

    liked it
    - the bots have an actual cockpit that can be sit into
    - awesome playability with the Titans
    - base- / city-mode !!!
    - distant homage in name of Microman Titan (new micronauts anyone? :D  )

didn't love it coz it's the wrong size for me, MT actually got the right Headmaster height T_T

Imagine, if you will, a game like "No man's sky" where you play a titan master and can augment your base form, gear, and ship. And can combine with your ship for epic battles that burn ship fuel. Explore, terraform, fight, transform. It would be awesome.

I like the idea and I like the designs for the most part. The only series' I've really liked were G1 and Prime, so I love the heavy G1ness of this line.

As everybody has said, not a big fan of the headmasters. Wasn't a big fan of headmasters back in the day and really not interested in non-hm characters being converted so a big meh to that.

Unfortunately, I'm not really this line's target market any more. I've been spoiled by the Masterpiece line: the extreme G1 cartoon accuracy plus articulation I never would've dreamed of as an 80's kid. Every new TF I see is graded against the Masterpieces and very few of them hold up. The only non-masterpieces I own that I still consider display-worthy are CW Devastater (with the add-ons and reprolabels, he's almost on par with the masterpieces) and TF Prime (seriously, they did an amazing job on a lot of those figures).

So yeah, I like Titans but I won't be buying any.

Hard to say without having a TR figure in hand, but so far I dig the idea.

Not everyone has said that. It seems like about half and half at worst to me.

Look above you. 4 of the 5 people who posted just before you are heavily in favor of the gimmick, with the 5th person not expressing a distinct opinion about it one way or the other. From the same page as your post:

And that last post is pretty much my feelings to a T. I love Headmasters and want them all. The idea that "everybody has said" they don't want the Headmasters is wildly inaccurate.

I like it. I'm particularity getting a kick out of the redux '87-'88 lineup. It's been a lot of fun. I really wanna see Takara take off with this, seeing how Headmasters, Masterforce and Victory was their deal back in the day in Japan. I would think there would be a bigger audience over there for this stuff.

Headmasters are my favorite gimmick, as long as there are cockpits to ride in (which it looks like all of them have).

That said, the fact that some of the mini headmaster robots have no paint on their robot selves (especially the face), is downright CRIMINAL.

I'm in the like it category. By the time I was old enough to really appreciate Transformers, this is the stuff I was seeing (Headmasters, Targert Masters, and tail end of combiners). I like how they're doing the headmasters, though I am in the group that would have loved to just seem them mimic gimmicks, or use Targetmasters instead. Overall though this looks to be a really fantastic line overall. Can't wait to see what's next!

Too early to tell. Figures must work - they must transform well, hold their robot modes and vehicle modes well, etc. Until that question is answered I'm not sure. Only ones I plan on getting are galvatron and blurr, but if they're a loose badly-executed mess I'll pass on those too.

But if galvatron and blurr work very well, transform very solidly, etc., I'll look at other figures from the line.

Not sure why you'd think that, feels like they are on par with most of the discussions on the boards -- I mean, there's a handful that can't get past the "everyone's a Headmaster" thing (not necessarily my favorite, but not terribly bothered by it either) and the usual internet grumpy gusses that just seemed to poo on everyone, but for the most part I feel like Titans Return has gotten very positive marks, certainly more so then Combiners Wars, which was marred by the initial reveals being mistransformed and hot glued awkwardly together.

Like it, Its not quite as dynamic as CW for me, but there are still alot of must buys for me, mostly the voyager figures. Several charecter rehashes cause me to drop my rating slightly

Will probably be an expensive Japanese exclusive if it ever happens at all.

Then again, we did get Black Shadow and Crosscut but I doubt Hasbro will do many Japanese characters.
