Vine Dicola instruments. End of discussion.
Steve Jablonski! His music is perfection! Although Linkin Park and Imagine also have important place in my heart
JAM PROJECT for maybe the best TF Theme ever.
Transformers EVO by Jam Project
just please not linkin park.....
JAM Project. Too many good memories.
Them or Black Lab
Are there so many OFFICIAL choices? I kind of interpreted this category to include fan bands, but I guess Hasbro would never officially endorse those?
I'm pretty ambivalent about this category - with so few choices, we might as well give ALL of them prizes, as they're more and more eligible to win as the years progress and choices dwindle.
Just listened to it... wow, it's BAD. As Japanese theme songs go... there are just sooooo many better ones. Heck, I prefer the American Animated theme over THAT.
Vince arranged and played on "The Touch", as well as "Dare". He also wrote and performed the entire music score for the movie.
Most recently, he dipped back into Transformers by scoring the music for the "Angry Birds: Transformers" video game.
His music is iconic to the point that even when I hear his score in "Rocky IV", I think of the 1986 Transformers movie instead.
JAM Project or Lion
If you haven't already voted in a TF HOF thread somewhere else, please allow me a moment of your time. This year, for the first time ever, we're allowed to vote for a specific musician or group of musicians for the HOF. I'm sure most of you are already planning to vote for Vince DiCola or "Weird Al" Yankovic, but let me explain just why you ought to give the team of Ford Kinder & Anne Bryant a thought.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: They wrote the G1 theme song.
In short, the entire sonic feel of the first 20 years of Transformers goes straight back to Kinder & Bryant. "Autobots wage their battle to destroy the evil forces of the Decepticons"? Kinder & Bryant. The five-note "more than meets the eye!" fanfare? Kinder & Bryant. If you're humming that old theme song while you read this post? Kinder & Bryant.
Some of the other artists that are more likely to get the nod owe a huge debt to Kinder & Bryant. Vince DiCola's (yes, excellent) score for the '86 film was built off of the sonic landscape Kinder & Bryant created. Lion's "Transformers Theme"? They just made Kinder & Bryant rock a little harder.
Did I mention that Kinder & Bryant also wrote the theme songs for "Inhumanoids" and "My Little Pony"? That Anne Kinder wrote *every single song* for "Jem & the Holograms"? And Ford Kinder? He wrote one other theme song you might know - a little ditty about someone who'll fight for freedom, wherever there's trouble? Yeah.
If that's not enough, one more thought - the duo ended up having to sue Hasbro years later over unpaid royalties for all the theme songs they created. They never even got fairly compensated for the role they played in creating a pop culture juggernaut.
KINDER & BRYANT 2015: THEY PUT THAT SONG IN YOUR HEAD.
JAM Project: Transformers EVO
No theme has more passion. no them has more heart. and no theme has more oomph.
Ford Kinder and Anne Bryant

They definitely are worthy and I would have no issue if they got the nom, and they definitely deserve to get in some year if not this year. But for me personally, Vince DiCola's work was far more powerful as a representation of the franchise. I've never felt the need to own or listen to a version of the main theme (aside from the Lion version on the TFTM soundtrack) but DiCola's score is something I can listen to on a regular basis and never get bored.
