IMO, the SkyLynx mold was the best choice as it already evokes the original Liokaiser's torso.
    The Silverbolt mold.......not so much.

Got my CW Liokaiser set in today from Entertainment Earth, free shipping plus bonus diorama made me pull the trigger.

The Breastforce Warriors look pretty good with Botcon Leozack, IMHO.

All in all I like this set, especially if Takara or a 3rd party can somehow make their version include Leozack and Jallguar (and maybe even Death Cobra). Love the new heads and extra paint apps this does indeed feel like a premium Botcon set (but at 1/3 of the price). I'll keep TFC Hades in combined mode for display but will be using the CW Liokaiser for play!

Nah, it wouldn't be hard to mod Silverbolt to work.

    Gyazo - 9212954edc435f645bdf1559382a122a.png

And, with whatever Transformer that buggy is, as a targetmaster of sorts. Boom Liokaiser.

It's a question of if Tak would do it though.

To the people who are always putting Takaratomy down and belittling their capabilities ............ REALLY?! :lol

And this lame attempt by Hasbro is really bad IMHO, because they have NO idea or concept of how to make an ORIGINAL Japanese only combiner / character work. I'll pass, thanks. No respect to the source material, and there is no excuse just repainting CW Skylinx into a lazy representation of Deathzarus with a identity crisis - Who is he supposed to be? Leozak-Zarus-Lynx? :lolol

I always assume that its an amalgamation made from the after math of victory. Its not a bad attempt though. The silverbolt mold got so many uses and hasbro needed to use the skylynx mold. Honestly we should be grateful that they didn't just use the same heads. 4/6 BF members isn't bad. Only reason why cw computron gets away with everything is because he has new hands/feet and toy accurate colors. Atleast liokaiser has 4 new head sculpts and nice paint apps.

Nobody is belittling a Takara's abilities.
You, however, belittle Hasbro a lot, and this post makes you sound like a hypocrite.

I have absolutely no issues with the new head sculpts on the other limb-members, Hasbro probably got clearance from Takaratomy anyways to use them... :lol

Hasbro doesn't need clearance. They own TFs.

I would like that as well. Gives me a reason to buy both. However if they do indeed release the CW Destron limbs with a leozack made from Silverbolt then I want to see the CW Deathsaurus mold be repainted into the G1 accurate Deathsaurus colors and have him be called DeathKaizer. For the limbs it would include Jaruga and Deathcobra like you've mentioned but maybe it can also include Lyzack and Esmera,l Deathsaurus's wife.

I mean if taktom takes all the cash from the uw ex lines and puts it towards rnd for a dual torso. honestly have the jaruga mold have a female cw port and the leozak have the male one. that way it locks in securely and also has a waist joint using the cw port system.

Again, it was just left over parts and someone at Hasbro realized it could work as a Leokaiser/Deathsaurus homage.

And you know that's what it is. You've been told dozens of times and yet you keep trying to find some way to mock it. The people that are buying it know it's not meant to be a 1:1 Combiner Wars/Unite Warriors version of it.

It's not lazy as much as it's taking what's available as far as remolds go and throwing fans a bone. There is a difference, despite what you think.

Mine should be arriving Wednesday. And when it does, I'll have at least 1 iteration of all the CW molds, minus one (Legends Warpath).

And if Takara does do a version with a two bot torso... well, I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

The source materials is ultra niche.

If you were to survey typical Transformers fans (not us) they would know Optimus Prime, Megatron, Bumblebee etc but you ask them about Leozack or Deathsaurus - they'll look at you like a nostril hair in an omelette.

This is an easy win for Takara to work their magic on. They could just repaint the set and add a Leozack figure and that would please me.

As far a repainting CW Skylinx there is plenty of validity to do that. Why create a new mold for a character most TF fans have either never heard of or have minimal attachment to?

    They also remolded both heads.
Still annoyed that Takara didn't sculpt any tabs or locking points for the torso.

I just placed my order with Ent. Earth, thank you very much for the "Singles" code Tony_Bacala! I am on LOA from work due to an upcoming surgery on Dec. 2nd & won't be very mobile afterward so this will give me something to fart around with.

I had never heard of Liokaiser prior to joining this site so any inaccuracies to his roster/alt. modes is of little consequence to me. This guy looks too awesome to pass up and I do think allew's painting of the gestalt head looks way better than the black. I am colorblind to various hues/shades but Teal is one I can see and one of my favorite colors. As I mentioned before I have no real knowledge of Liokaiser so I googled him and found the results to be a bit confusing....I have a few questions if you don't mind?

    1. How many team members was the G1-esque Liokaiser made up of?

    2. I am confused as to who makes up his torso, Leozack & Jaullguar or Deathsaurus?

    3. What animals did each member represent? Jallguar = Jaguar?

    4. Do the PE/KO PC-01 etc. etc. hold paint apps well? I was thinking black set could work & then with some paint, color code the feet for Drillhorn & Ironbison?

I may grab a black set for the hands and white set for the feet as it does look sharp on the Hasbro set's HFG. My Sky Reign has no upgrade set as of yet so I think he would look ok with the remaining white hands & black feet. Do the PE sets hold paint well? The black and purple sets are in dire need of paint apps.

    Thank you for your time~

Thanks! I thought the black head looked too much like a toupee so I had to paint it :)  To answer some of your questions,

    1. The original G1 toy from Japan had 6 members. In the Victory cartoon, their was potentially another member, Deathcobra who transformed into a helicopter but was never made as an actual toy.
    2. In the old toy his torso was made up of Leozack and Jallguar but for this CW version it's just Dezarus (Deathsaurus).
    3. Leozack = Lion, Drillhorn = Rhino, Guyhawk = Hawk, Jallguar = Jaguar, Killbison = Bison and Hellbat = Bat. This is also represented by their animal partners
    4. Don't know as I don't have them. Presumably PE might make a set for Liokaiser down the road.

Thank you very much & damn you for the Toupee comment because now I cannot un-see it ha ha :)

So I assume Deathsaurus wasn't a member of the Breast Force in Japan? Neither I nor my friend (Who isn't a Transformers nut like me) can keep a straight face while saying Breast Force. Names change back and forth between the USA and Japan all the time to suit our languages and cultural meanings.

Henceforth I am renaming them: Primal Force

Considering Breastforce was composed of Breastmasters, and Deathsaurus was a Breastmaster and Decepticon commander in Victory, he pretty much is a member.

However, I don't see Dezarus as Deathsaurus.
Yes, I know Dezarus is his Japanese name, but we could see an actual Deathsaurus toy down the line.

Deathsaurus is the leader of the breast force, liozack and co were just his right hand man/faithful henchbots. well besides liozack, he was a schemer. deathsaurus was also a double breast master.
