Well in age of extinction megatron openly stated his name was galvatron. Just thought he was sticking with that...

 

That thing did almost destroy the galaxy didn't it...? The last few episodes were a little confusing by I think that's what happened.

 

Nah it just did a cheeky bit of time-travel. Specifically retracing the history of war between Zeon and the Federation, then to the end (beginning?) of time itself.

Nothing too radical. I mean, who hasn't projected themselves through time and space's immeasurable vastness esoterically to the very void state of reality and back via psychic space mecha? How else do you make it to work on time?

He only said it the one time, though. Maybe once he said it he was like "uhhh... doesn't sound that great. Maybe I'll stick with Megatron..."

 

So I never liked the idea of Optimus being portrayed as a bad guy, if somebody has the time to explain to me what happens or how long he is in that state of mind for, this would help me better understand what to expect. Any help would be appreciated.

 

So, a couple of continuity questions...

1) Do they explain the aliens from AOE?

2) Was Sentinel Prime working with Unicron to bring in Cybertron? Or was he clueless?

3) Were the Fallen and other Primes here before the Knights? Seems like it chronologically. And did the knights know about the Primes/Fallen being on Earth?

1. Quintessa is the leader of the quintessons and possibly this universe's version of quintus prime. The other quintessons may look like those aliens

3. As far as I can tell, primus created the primes, including quintessa, solus Prime created the allspark, Quintessa used it to create the knights and subsequent cybertronians before they rebelled and life began evolving naturally.

 

So Optimus Prime IS Nemesis Prime as he calls himself that. Why didn't any marketing material or toys take advantage of this name? It sounds much better than Shadow Spark Optimus.

 

Probably a last-minute change to dialogue?

I was writing my own fan-script for my own TF movie a while back that asked this question. Basically mine ended with Unicron being teleported out from the earth center and Cybertron being teleported in.

 

The name Nemesis Prime carries a lot more substance to be a random name-drop. I mean, it had to be planned from the beginning.
