Yes!! It's like they took the best aspects from the designs of every Transformers continuity and blended them all into a perfection smoothie. And the show might not be perfect, but it is a ton of fun.

 

Honestly, this series truly isn't worth watching (at least all of it) because of how inconsistent the quality of episodes are and range from like 2/10 to a 9/10. I honestly did not enjoy 90% of this show as it was one of the cringiest shows I have ever seen. But the 10% they did get right, I want to see a lot more of that.

Macadam by far is the thing they got the most right and I truly want that to be the gold standard in future series. Titans, I feel they handled Titans a lot better in this series and I do want to see more of them. Windblade: the first series I felt they kinda got her power levels right, i.e. no crazy weird bs powers added and a lot more tolerable than previous series. Exploring more of Cybertronian culture, now this I was actually impressed by and would throughly enjoy seeing more of this in the future. There are a few other things, but you get my point, this show either really delivers or it faceplants hard and there really is no in between. I can honestly probably count the episodes I thoroughly enjoyed on one hand, so with that said, skip most of this show and watch the good episodes. I do want to give props to the stuck in unspace episode as that might have one of the best jokes I've heard in awhile.

 

I don't have a cable provider, so looks like I'll be doing a dailymotion marathon too after recently finishing season 2 on Netflix. Did season 1 when they were put on YouTube.

 

I think season 1 is ok, I like season 2 but I love season 3 and the quintesson arc is absolutely incredible, even if the second half is a bit episodic and kind of a letdown. Definitely looking forward to the two TV movies. But who knows I’m weird cause I also have like the WFC trilogy so far

 

Cyberverse is honestly not a bad cartoon. I like the fact it tells a interesting story about the Autobot-Decepticon War and how it explores a time before Megatron started the conflict. Humor can be a hit or miss which is fine since it's a cartoon made primarily for kids, but it can be quite surprisingly dark at times, for example Megatron giving Starscream that beat down is probably one of the most brutal scenes I seen him go through since Animated. I just wish each episode didn't last 11 minutes. It really kills the pacing.

 

Theres a lot of small things to appreciate and love; for instance, from beginning of s2, seeing soundwave in the nemesis command chair, looking badass and playing dramatic music is just so cool

 

The Starscream beatdown was probably where the series made my jaw drop. It was like 30 years of Megatron tolerating Starscream in the franchise came down to this one moment where Megatron finally just had enough.

 

I just don't understand why cartoons are now 10 minutes long. The new Rise of the TMNT is also like that. I enjoy Cyberverse, but I really think the show could be even better if they do full 23 minute episodes.

 

i hope some bit of season 4/tv films focus on the new order of the decepticons, preferably with soundwave in charge, shadow striker likely as his second and more screen time for skywarp as seeker commander. would be interesting to see how the cons who worked in secret with megatron(wildwheel, deadend, sky byte) are faring; whether they fell in line or are outcasts now.

 

That literally happened in Animated tho. As soon as Megatron came back he literally killed off Starscream. Scream only got lucky because of the Allspark shard.

 

While I like the way Megatron handles Screamer in Animated, the prolonged beat down of a begging Starscream by a silent Megatron is really something I did not expect but was probably a little too happy by it

 

Yeah...but that was pretty weaksauce in that Megatron kills him with a sucker punch to the face.

Cyberverse takes the moment and stretches it to 15% of the episode as Megatron beats the ever-smirking shit out of him before finally killing him for good. Starscream is begging for mercy while Megatron silently kills him with little remorse. It's really rather uncomfortable to watch, to be honest, as it marks a rather dark tone for the series that, up until then, had been pretty happy-go-lucky, Velocitron's fate aside.

You seriously make it sound more intense than it is.

 

It was more intense than the sucker punch kill.

 

TFA Megatron drops a one-liner before shooting Starscream in the chest. Cyberverse Megatron spends over a minute wordlessly and savagely beating Starscream across the Nemesis before blasting him in the back. One of them is definitely more intense than the other.

 

It's sad to remember when this Editorial for Cyberverse was made the only other Cyberverse general thread was "cyberverse is trash"
