Has anyone thought of creating a TFW app? It might seem pointless to some people, but me personally, I get a little frustrated having to use TFW on my browser. It's tedious to navigate through the small links and sublinks on a phone, especially when trying to post something like a sighting. Has an app been suggested or even created?

 

No app exists, Although I agree! It would be amazing to have a Visitor or PM appear as a Notification.

 

The easiest option would be to create an android app that could be side loaded and tested for feedback.

I suspect it would take some resources to do that and, as far as I can imagine, TFW's sponsors are to support the overheads and not invest in new projects.

Could be wrong though.

 

Tbh, I do everything I do on TFW on my phone, I'm hardly ever on desktop. Everything I post is from my phone, so an app would be very useful for us Mobile TFW users

 

This has been brought up before but there's no plans for it in the near future.

 

I browse most areas on my Driod with Chrome or Firefox with no need for such a thing.

 

An app would be excellent. Make one

 

It would be cool, but I don't use my phone for the internet.

 

I'm 'appy' enough with the regular TFW.  

 

When I'm not on the computer, I'm on my kindle. Personally, I find sites with mobile options greatly annoying. It's so aggravating constantly having to switch from mobile to normal every time when I go to some sites on my kindle, like Facebook.

I'd be more than happy if this place remains mobile free.

The nearest my phone gets to being able to access the internet is if I bash the phone handset on the computer keyboard.

 

I love this idea, I never asked cause I didn't want to bring it up.I asked my friend knows way more about the site then me and he says it's been brought up many times but never really works out. Something with constantly having to update but it would be cool if I got daily updates on whats new and big on the board every day or so.

 

I can understand i like to check the front page for new news before i clock in for work and i use chrome. I am usually on the desktop though besides that but for people who do need it more than I should get a chance to.

 

Well I don't think TFW2005 should make a mobile version of the site. Just make an app for those of us who want the forums to be touch screen friendly

 

I've seen the question about getting a mobile version of the site pretty often and the staff always answers there's no plan, so I wouldn't get any hopes up.

I use the browser on my iPhone with no problem. Granted its not as easy as being at a computer but once you do it a few times it's not that bad.

My notifacation sounds are set up to be quite and short.My text is set up to be loud, and my phone is both loud and annoying. I say I'm up for notifications.

 

TBH the TFW website is pretty accessible from my phone, so I don't see any need for a mobile version.
