    HOLY FUCKING GOOD GOD YES!!

No "anime", no flat, empty surfaces for cel-shaded colourng, just proper, TRADITIONAL COMIC BOOK ARTWORK. I WILL HAVE STAZ JOHNSON'S BABIES. BRING HIM TO ME. AWaaAAaaaRARRAAaaaaHhhhhh... *drool*

Does proper comic book style also mean that you can't see what's going on? Also, flat, empty surfaces are just one style of cartooning that has been used since the artform originated. And most "traditional" comics had like no shading and had alot of empty surfaces or a touch of cell-shading.

I have to say though, that scene with the APC's is stunning but Ironhide himself looks just as terrible as when anyone else tries to draw movie Transformers. Still, its 100x more interesting than the same Don Murphy/IDW styled robots over and over again. I really wish the US comics would use more original styles like this, the WWII Gi-Joe story and the Kup spotlight.

Dude, I have got *no* problem telling what's going on there. I'm just happy to see an artist who remembers how to put some serious shading and areas of black into his pencils, instead of having the colourist be responsible for a lot of that.

(Although sadly, if all past TF UK stories are anything to go by, I would wager a decent sum of money that the colourist for THIS story is pretty much going to anally rape these gorgeous pencils.)

Wow. That is really a refreshing sense of "old skool" visual comic book storytelling.

w00t! :D  Another old name returns to the TF comics fold, and Staz has come a long long way.

Please, for once, let the colouring be good.

THATS staz?! from the old UK comics?!

anybody who says the art is hard to read is blind. or ******ed. maybe even both. the technique employed is textbook. end of discussion.

Yeah, I was wondering about that. The regular package Topkick 4500 has 6 wheels (2 front and four back as dualies), but Ironhide's variant has only four massive wheels, and they're located in his armpits and waist in robot mode, as far as I can tell.

    Very impressive art, either way

Staz!? Damn! This is pretty cool.

Awesome work. (except for the six wheels thing, but I can overlook that.)

Awesomeness, proper comic artwork in a Transformers comic is something I haven't seen since the good old Marvel days.
