While I respect some peoples hustle in wanting to get this game active again I just don't see it happening. It'd be one thing if it was a super popular title like Club Penguin or Toon Town but this game even at its height had a pretty limited audience.

 

ok i know its been a while and you wont respond but Kiriller...Can you send the all the Cab files you have, i would like to Archive them to my Drive, its for extracting models and whatnot, i just need all the cab files if you still have them

 

I know this post is several months old, but I would say check Artstation and the artists' personal websites every so often. A decent amount of unreleased concept art has surfaced only within the last couple of years, so we might continue to see more as time passes on and non-disclosure contracts run out.

1. This might not be exactly what you are looking for, but someone posted the voice quotes for Optimus, Megatron, Switchblade, Astrea, and Hotwire on Youtube. There are also several unofficial OSTs for the game uploaded to Youtube as well.

 

I Do Remember watching that but I'm also looking for Voice lines from other characters other than them. (Monsoon, Mismatch, Catapult, ETC.) Also the Video's you mentioned have a bit of Gameplay Noise in the back, I'm trying to look for Clear ones, i did find 2 Official OSTs from one of the Old Files that were uploaded here, one was Combat2 (Which is a Banger of an OST) and one is Combat6 which i have not extracted yet, i don't know what those OST's Were used For so i cant give it a proper name for them

Either way I'm trying to look for the other half of the Files with other Characters along with Unreleased ones for Archival Purposes just incase someone who does have Steel balls can Remake the game and also for Blender users like me who want more of these models badly

 

also i have archived every last file that was uploaded here into my External Hard drive, i want to archive it on DeviantArt and Reddit for everyone but idk if i can do it without permission from people here

 

I'm just going to be lazy about this one. But does anyone have the host addresses documented for local play. I can probably shift through the log files to find all of them but if anyone has the hosts file setup please let me know, unless there is an alternate method being used. I figured for local loopback would make sense for a private local server. Let me know what everyone's thoughts are on this or if anyone else has been able to get the game up and running with these files. It would be another great project to tackle being able to have all of the older Transformers games revived as we now have with ROTF, WFC, FOC, DOTM and ROTDS. It would be great to get the word going about Transformers Universe as well. I would like to tackle some tests if possible.

not really sure since im not a scripter but bigger question is do you even have all the files necessary to bring back the game? im trying to archive as much of the game as possible so more people could try, if you have all the files can you send them so i can archive them?

 

I'm going to see what files I have. I have an older laptop and I'm pretty sure I had game files on it. I need to find the laptop and remember the password first though. So ill see if I can get back to you on that

I've honestly got no idea what I'm doing in Unity aside from installing it.

With that being said, after some research, I'd found that the open beta version of Transformers Universe was actually updated to run in the 2014 Unity engine. So with that knowledge, I used uTinyRipper to decompile it back into a Unity project. The issue is, it converts it into a Unity 2017 compatible file, so I'm not 100% on if there were any big differences between them.

So I've uploaded that into a Google Drive folder here in case anyone else wants to take a crack at opening it up and getting the game running in a better capacity.

Nevermind- Apologies for adding links once more, but a Discord server I'm in regarding a FoC server revival (which they actually have done) apparently posted a few days ago a bunch of caches for TFU and a mock API of sorts.

 

I can't add links for now due to spam filtering, which I understand why but it's a tad annoying-

The user that's posted them is AiB0t. You can find them on Github and the API's name will be tfu_api.

The caches will have to wait till I can post links.

 

Really hoping that this means that we have a little spark of hope for the revival of TFU

thanks, i was able to look into the files, wasn't much but i found Voice lines for Duststorm, Meltdown, Conduit, Frontline, and Megatron however Duststorm had more Voice Clips in the files than for the others, haven't tried for Megatron yet but there is a massive library for what i believe is for the Autobot or Decepticon Troopers, either way its still something good, wish i can find more Cache/CAB files for the game so i can get my hands on the Voicelines of other characters and unreleased models like Pitstop, Cameo, Wheeljack, Flood, Breakneck, Knockout, and ClearCut, RollCage. those are the only 2 things id love to get my hands on as most of these files almost have the same characters that are already released and that i have uploaded

 

This is still going on? Hope there is some truth that the game servers are coming back as WFC/FOC did...
