I think I've posted this guy before but I've done some more mods to him. I regret doing the battle damage now, I did it before I modded him as a bit of a test - I didn't like the figure it was in my spare parts bin. I might grab another one and transfer the mods over to it and give it a nice paint job. The hands are from a voyager prime, the added midsection is made from deluxe brawl parts. Doors have been removed from his legs, there's some unpainted plastic where the doors were that need to be touched up. I dont fully extend the legs at the knee so his height matches the other autobot deuxes, the top of Jazz's head is the same height as HFTD deluxe bumblebee's eyes. I'm looking for some clear lenses so I can LED the headlights on his arms. Hakka.
Really sharp. I like the battle damage, it's not over the top. Also your painting really gives the figure a sense of size.
The section circled in red has been added in, made from 3 parts of a deluxe brawl. The knee joints circled in yellow usually extend another 10mm, I dont extend them all the way because it makes him too tall compared to the other deluxes and I think the legs just look better that way. Thanks for the comments everyone. hakka.
That is a badass Jazz. Nice propartions, cool damage, the hands look great. I guess because of the mods, he doesn't transform anymore?
Love the backpack mod - reminds me of the idea Deathwing had, if you flip the backpack over on his back, it makes the spoiler look a lot better! Great paintjob on this figure - love the mods you did, makes the fig look a lot better. Ironically, the figure's dimensions weren't wrong, it's just that he had some odd kibble that killed his proportions. The 5th & 6th wheels on his ankles can be pulled (like I did on my long-dead mod thread) to make the legs look MILES better than stock. The doors on his legs, while partially accurate to the movie renders, look tons better if removed completely or integrated into the arms (an idea I had roughly a year ago, but never finished the transformation). Even the stubby waist is accurate, but the nose of the car does not wrap around his chest like it did in the movie, so he looks oddly shaped in toy form. Still, like I said - this custom looks great & I would love to see a non-battle damage version if you decide to do another!
The hands aren't accurate to Jazz's on screen appearance, but everything else is AMAZING! The proportions are great and the little mods here and there really bring out a very decent figure. I can't wait to see the non-battle damaged version.
its nice man..luv it..good idea, and same question, can he transform back to pontiac? anyway, its a very cool deluxe jazz bro..congratz
Yeah, this is now a non-transformer, right? Good work on the mods... this figure needed those proportion shifts so badly! I don't know why Has/Tak designers continue to do this, but they seem to just LOVE transformers with really short torsos. zmog
