I bought a bed before my credit card info got stolen from TFsource. I returned the bed after I got my new number and it refunded fine. I called the bank before the refund was processed and they told me there would be no problem. If your worried call your bank.
...tfsource's statement does absolutely nothing to acknowledge the problem nor identify a solution, so my concerns remain unmollified...
So I recently tried swiping my credit card that I have used in the past at a gas station today and it declined. Knowing I had money in it I called my bank and they advised there was a security freeze placed on it due to some transactions they needed to verify. Long story short someone in New York was having a shopping spree at my expense. We deactivated both of my cards and filed a fraudulent claim to get reimbursed (I live in Indiana no way I was shopping in New York). Long story short, this shit is real folks. I never thought I’d be the one to get hacked but it happened. I have only used this card with TFSOURCE. Triple check all your transactions.
Yikes, I was considering buying a few things for TF source but this thread is a giant "STAY AWAY" warning
Thanks for your input. I’ve had my card stolen twice but never at tfsource. But this definitely gives me pause
...to reiterate: stored card numbers don't appear to be vulnerable, only newly-entered cards when added to their system...
after purchasing the golden lagoon last thanksgiving , my card was used to buy shoes and something else. while i was talking to the bank about unathorized purchases, there was another pending trnasanction 2 days later. had to call the bank again and get them to reissue me another card with new number. after trying to figure out where i used the card. only tf source was the recent transanction.. i still have stack with tfsouce. ill use a credit card with limited funds just in case they get my info again.
I posted this on page 5 of this thread Dec 29th. My card that was hit was stored in their site more than a year, I bought from them this BF and last BF on the same card. It most likely got hit when it was processed during my Black Friday purchase. So no it was not just new cards.
This is an annual happening at TFsource apparently. I never went back after the first time it happened to me when buying there years ago. Nobody should give them a CC number, ever. It should be common knowledge by now. How are people still surprised?
E-commerce site is infected not by one, but two card skimmers A new rash of highly covert card-skimming malware infects ecommerce sites
That is very interesting, and sucks at the same time. Asses like those who do this really are the worst.
Better yet, just don't use a company that refuses to fix issues they know they have that negatively impact their customers. They clearly don't give 2 shits about us, why keep giving them money when toydojo, agabyss, and showz are better in every way.
I personally have not had any issues with them before, but, as annoying PayPal can be at times, using some sort of proxy like that would be safer.
I imagine you're fine using PayPal. That's what I was doing for a while anyway, but I don't given them my business anymore due to how they've handled things in recent years.
Thanks for warning info. I was registered on this site for awhile and about to buy from this site now and I was wondering why the hell I would need to "Add a Card" to do a purchase. This is something unbelievable. As I don't have Paypal because there is no Paypal in the country where I currently am I cant sign up for one. They should enable Paypal Guest check-out instead in this site so no information is saved to their site. Time to get goods to other places instead
Unfortunately that's their SOP every time they're in one of these situations..... Deny, Dodge, deflect, obfuscate,etc.... Anything to avoid taking responsibility for their lack of giving 2 shits on a shingle for keeping their customers security and privacy secure. Bottom line, don't reward shitty acting company's with your hard earned $$$
