This is outlandish. Why the step backwards? Isn't engineering supposed to get better, the more cracks they have at the same character? Especially at a larger size. Inexcusable.

chances are that if its a new repaint i would guess the head will remain primes normal colours and might be possible to swap the head on to regular colours prime

It could be the new Voyager OP mold with the light up features since it has some translucent chest pasrts & with alternate head,it will be without faceplate, doesn't all these make sense?

As much as I like Optimus without his face plate, I don't think that's enough incentive for me to buy this mold.

Unless you cold swap this head with the first edition one. Not sure about the size difference though...

Or if a third party made an unmasked head for the first edition, I'd buy that in a heartbeat.

The new mold managed to do a lot of stuff right that the first two didn't though. It wasn't a step backwards. It was just... sideways.

Agreed, but at the same time. They did several things much worse. The bigger backpack makes the figure's proportions look off. The chest around windows should be red, the lack of that makes the figure look very cheap. The clear forearms nearly make it look like a KO and make the proportions even worse. Legs are too short. When compared to FE prime, he just looks very bad

Tell that to DOTM Voyager Optimus. :)

Like Shroob said, it's not so much a step back as following a different set of priorities, such as a less 'cheaty' transformation and incorporation of the Powerizer weapon gimmick.

Not saying they're great ideas, but that seems to be the goal.

Maybe you can try getting online instead because we will not know how long will it take to hit US

Yes, RID Powerizer Prime has the battlemask, but he wants the version without the mask that the instructions are hinting at.

Yuck, I hope that if this is a running change they are packaged in Robot Mode still. I would hate to get stuck with Mouth Prime.

Perhaps the 'alternate' version will be a 'memory-lost' Orion Pax with no faceplate and Decepticon symbols?
