Transformers Prime Voyager Optimus Prime Instruction Sheet Reveals Alternate Head Sculpt?

 

Ugh, I hope they make it in normal colors, it would suck to have the unmasked Optimus come in some crazy colors.

 

Was about to have a "wtf moment" because I'd just got Prime last night and didn't see a new head, but that's the RID one not the FE.

 

Wow! Intresting discovery!  This could mean we'll have a repaint of this figure with a different head!: I mean we had something like this happen with Que!

 

I hope a redeco with that head happens. I'm tired of getting Optimus Prime toys that only have the face plate.

 

I would go in for anothe rVoyager Prime, IF the colours stay show accurate and he has the no faceplate.

 

It's nice that they're making a version with the face plate, but I can't say I'm very interested myself.

 

I'd go for this mold if they repaint him in Nemesis Prime/RID Scourge colors with the new head. It'll give hima reason to but this for people who are more content with the First Edition Voyager Optimus.

 

It's too bad they couldn't have done a retractable faceplate like they did with Cybertron and Animated Prime. Personally I thought that worked really well as a gimmick.

Cool. Prime's face has grown on me over the course of S1, so this is great news.

 

please dont be a shitty ultra magnus or worse sentinel prime variant.

 

I'll wait for that then. I actualy DO prefer that face to the masked design. Plus maybe that repaint will have more red on the torso.

 

If it turns out to be a variant of the first use of this mold, I'll definitely be getting it instead of the regular version. If it's a repaint/retool of the figure to be released later in the line, I might wait and get it instead. Though if that's the case, I hope it isn't a Decepticon version.

I definitely prefer this Prime without his face-plate. He looks better without it, and it would be nice to have a Prime in my collection that doesn't have it for once.

 

I'm interested but hopefully, it will not have translucent parts though it's unlikely.

 

Seconded. Give the new Voyager mold some solid show accurate colors (none of this translucent blue plastic nonsense) along with some accurate weapons (bleh for gimmicky translucent/oversized electronic mechtech weapons) to go along with the unmasked head sculpt and I'll bite. But for now Takara FE Optimus is where it's at for me.

 

If they make this variant, I'd buy it, despite preferring the FE Voyager.

 

I can't get over the fact the RiD Optimus has a backpack problem as bad as the Deluxe and worse than the First Edition Voyager. What happened?

That might make for a good excuse to buy that mold...Maybe.

I still want the FE one.
