Here is my 3rd custom paintjob, PRID Sergeant Kup into a movie inspired Ironhide. Only when I started painting him did I realise how much great detail there is on this figure. I'm pretty happy with how he turned out and surpassing Bumblebee as the favorite repaint of mine. I painted his guns up silver and did some black drybrushing for a used look. Kind of hard to tell from the pics though. My camera doesn't seem to have good macro. Anyway, here he is and as always, I am open to constructive criticism.

Any advice for the hood part that pegs in? How to keep the paint from rubbing ?

Not sure about so much black, but it's still pretty cool. As the above poster mentioned, it would make a good Shattered Glass Prime Ironhide.

Thanks guys. I appreciate the comments.

Aledromo, I guess you could try sanding down the sides enough to where it doesn't rub. I didn't like the collar so I just keep the whole hood on his back and don't open it up so it's not a problem for me.

I don't know the first thing about shattered glass and the only Ironhide I know is the big, black truck version so it was more the inspiration than a completely accurate representation.

Looks good but 1 question. How did you remove the "windshield" from his chest?

Looks pretty good but more like Trailbreaker to me than Ironhide.

I used a soldering iron to heat up the pin and pry it out a little, then needle-nose pliers to pull it out the rest if the way.

That could be. My Transformers knowledge is limited to a few movie bots and Prime, so I don't know who that is.
