Graphic novel? Okay. I was really hoping that the cartoon was coming back, but I'll take a graphic novel!

 

Aww, thats a bummer   I also dont know anyone going to this so I dont think I will be able to get it. Ah well, maybe I can get it on ebay someday.

I hope there's enough for attendees. My girlfriend and I have been considering going. This might be what tips the scales and guarantees us visiting, but it'd be a bummer if we made our way out there only to miss out on the book...

 

Well I'll be at TFN already so will possibly check this out. I adore Animated but do still view this firmly as fan fiction unless theres any shred of contribution or blessing from Isenberg or Wyatt. Still looks very nice indeed!

 

Would be an interesting read but the lack of any official involvement, plus the difficulty in getting a hold of it certainly curbs my enthusiasm. I hope one day Marty and Wyatt get the opportunity to make some kind of official conclusion.

 

If the interest in it is enough, they may consider a second run to be handed out at TFcon in september.

Just a personal thought and private wish. No factual proof has been given.

 

Even being an unofficial product I'm sure many Animated fans wants this book, like the Japanese "Transformers Animated 10th Anniversary Anthology Art Book". I have two copies of that Japanese book, thanks to Hydra that helped me and many Western fans to get it. There will be any way to non-attendees of TFNation to buy this new "Transformers Animated: Trial and Error"? I want more Transformers Animated! And it seems that the "unofficial" way is the way to go.

I know that *if* Hasbro or Takara release some TFA continuation on their own, the story in this book would be superseded, but I don't have high hopes that HasTak will remember TFA. And, even if they remembers and really does something, I still will have a nice done Graphic Novel with a nice done history in the best Transformers continuity. Whoever have saw the TV show and readed the "The Cool" comics can live with two (or more) different and sometimes incompatible story streams in the same continuity. I would be very happy to have both an unoffical and an official "TFA: Season 4", today we have nothing.

 

Just a quick question, I'm seeing a fair amount of demand from those overseas/not attending TFN trying to lock down copies. I'm Just wondering if there will be a limit in what people can buy to avoid this being scalped.

I'm really hoping to pick up a copy at TFN for myself, but would hate to miss out.

 

I'm not the logistics guy, so don't take what I say as gospel, but I would be amazed if we didn't enforce a limit for exactly this reason.

 

They've should consider offering it as a digital copy for those that clearly want a copy and can't get to this convention. Standard .cbr format or pdf for those that don't know to use a comic book reader.

 

They might still do that after the convention. At the very least some fan will certainly scan it and put it online eventually.

 

That's always the risk that's run when doing fan-created media. Not to mention the Season 4 outline in the second Almanac was rough and likely would've been substancially altered by the time it was made into animation.

That said, the people involved behind this I think would know all that and take it into account. I only wish I could read it for myself. I hate to say it, but I almost hope someone puts scans online.

Wasn't that because someone leaked the entire text of Alignment on the internet? I remember reading the story and also the indignation of the organizers over it.

And he had nothing to do with the production of the TFA cartoon. The public faces were Marty and Derrick. And frankly in terms of involvement that is even less than Ben Yee's consultant credit for BW, which didn't really mean much as we found out for the IDW BW franchise.
