Yeah bring it on!
Maybe the walking Dead Bloke can do Infestation
WUT? Spinoff and sequel movies? Since when? I have never seen any news about spinoff movies being in production... And if these are movies, why is an IDW comic linked as the image? Don't you mean movie adaptation comics?
Zak Penn: I'm now worried about Pacific Rim 2. He's been on a few stories which were decent but his writing credits include X-Men 3 and Elektra. And Hulk 2, but I think that's at least...ok.
Holloway and friend: Also dodgy. They've a patchy record at best. They're contribution to Iron Man was less than might be advertised, considering how mix and match the screenplay writing for that movie actually was.
Pinkner: AS2? ooooh hmmm...I've never seen Fringe. Any good?
Kirkman: Easily the most interesting. Writer with a lot of good stuff under his belt (even if Walking dead now suffers from classic "this story has dragged on too long") and a comic writer at that. Aiming for TFs Guardians?
A couple of spinoff prequel serial.
Tf origin(with creators, dinoes and primes)
Then some serials about different popular characters like dc's the arrow and the flash that interact.
T-There's hope?! These are good writers! If we can get rid of Bay then the TF movie franchise has a chance of being tajen seriously!
But I'm not sure how they plan to create a shared universe with the current plot. All the important big name Decepticons are dead. As are a few of the Autobots. The Transformer/Earth aliance is a clusterfuck because someone thought it would be a good way to force drama by making everyone hate the Autobots. Optimus is... in space, I geuss. And the biggest problem is that in four films not one Transformer has enough personality to carry a film by themselves because Bay thought the films were called "Human Cliches with special geust-stars the Transformers! Who are also horrible cliches and stereotypes"
I agree with the few who've said that a reboot is the only hope for a cohesive universe.
"Those are some good ideas and scripts guys! BUT! Here's what I came up with for TF5!!"
- Michael Bay (minutes before the TF5 writers mysteriously quit)
Kirkman attached to the TF universe would be mighty interesting indeed! The spinoff movies have much more potential to include history of Transformers in the past without the hindrance of humans.
A New Hope.
Look, I'm getting a little fatigued rom the Marvel movies... and those are GOOD.
So Ehren Kruger is out right?
He's no more involved in the franchise? Bay sucks at writing too, but I would point out that he is the main problem. If you see how rated the first movie is compared to the other three, then it's just not Bay's fault.
hoping that at least with different directors and different screenwriter some of these movies come out at least good transformers movies. focusing on its characters and stories, with good action scenes you can view every right transformers in battle, dialogue between TF characters, less Movie Length and explore the personalities and abilities of each TF character both in robot form, vehicle or otherwise. then already a good start compared the mediocrity they did with the previous films. the rest is forward only improve and hitting errors.
but it is kind of hard because the main involved are the same as four previous films.
A different feel is all I want.
This is why I was okay with an expanded universe, Bay can't work on everything and neither can Khreuger, so theoretically, sooner or later, ONE of these films will have to be objectively good.
On the one hand this a positive, but on the other I'd rather they'd use this as an opportunity to start a fresh new movie universe from scratch than trying to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear...
Yeah, he's called Michael Bay.
Aaaaaaand therein lies the problem.
