Yeah, that's what I did (too lazy to dig up the pic) but I just inserted the sword into the hole there for now.

I've got this set, but if they follow through with GN I may have to double dip... but that's against my rules (see: budget). OK, at bare minimum I would get Scylla... and probably Sea Phantom... and maybe Halfshell... I might have a problem...

 

If I go for the GN repaint, I'll probably do what I ultimately did with the first release, wait for them all to be released and for someone like Baba to discount the whole set by like $200 bucks, during a ebay Bucks promotion.

I think you mix the Takara release with the TFC Poseidon release.
There is no boxed set of the TFC Poseidon of this thread.

It's only a "box set" in that they'll put all 6 boxes, into one big box, and ship that big box to you...

Only the black repaint versions came as box sets (and only as box sets).

 

The box sets are only black versions of the originals

 

There are two boxsets versions:
Noir verison and Unactive (black) version

 

Is the only difference the translucent purple of the Noir?

The regular version seems to have had a fairly consistent stock since release. I’m thinking he should still be around in ‘22 when I can possibly drop the coin for him.

Pretty much. Pure black vs black & purple. I don't know if I've ever seen a direct side-by-side comparison, there may be a black vs very dark grey aspect for some parts, too.

I wish they were colored better, say exactly like the G1 toys, but nah.
