I agree it would've been nice for TFC to figure out a means of giving Mentarazor beast legs...but the transformation of the legs into the bulk of the beast mode was pretty impressive. Flying alts always suffer undercarriage kibble but they manage to fold everything away rather naturally.

also, it looks like TFC was smart enough to not put paint on the four pegs that he rests on in beast mode. If you didn't know he had legs in G1 you'd swear he stands just fine as is.

So where is Deathclaw's lobster head stored in the foam?

I can't seem to find it.

    It IS packaged unattached right?

No, it appears to be attached to his back from the pictures I have seen, the slots in the foam for his whiskers in the images too. Mine won't be here until tomorrow but 99% sure it's supposed to be attached.

No, it is not. Nor is it detachable, at least not on purpose. It does not become a shield, and is not meant to be detached. If it isn't on the figure, you have a problem.

Oh ok, I thought I had read somewhere that it would come packaged unattached.

Wait what? I don't have one yet but some of the earliest colored prototypes were shown using it as a shield, was this feature removed then?

I had completely forgotten about that from the test shots. Yes, it seems to have been removed. As you can soo, the ball joint it is attached by is quite large, and does not seem easily removable. Also, there are no pegs that it might attach by.

That's sad, maybe the image was popped off the balljoint and wedged on somehow? Will test once I get mine in tomorrow to see if I can figure out what they did.

I stand completely corrected, thank you. Apparently, the head is attached via a peg, that is in no way obvious just by looking at it or transforming it, since the lobster head has no other reason to detach. Pics included. Sorry again for the confusion.

I was checking out eBay earlier and saw that bababobo00712 had Deathclaw for $78.00 shipped.. nice enough price to pick up even without a flash deal.
