I tend to think that is why Jawbreaker/Overbite Makes the most logical gun as the Ray & the Lobster match and the Octo-squid and the Goldfish O' Doom / Celeocanth match so they work well in pairs.

I do kind of wish that TFC had taken some gross liberties with the design and allowed you to store the gun mode team member on the main robot's back as I can see that looking cool if it could be made to work - especially the Lobster (for the interesting segements) or the Ray (for the wings).

Perhaps it's possible to fan mode something up with some assistance from all those kibble & weapon parts the set includes.

Cool...so these are not part of it at all? Do the individual guns combine to make a larger gun as well? Why would they not include instructions for these?

The picture that you sent of the sword is part of it. It fills up a gap but i dont have those yet, but i circled where it is supposed to go. But in terms of the combined guns. I know you can combine them up, but i would wait till tentakil comes out.

For those attempting to replace the combiner neck piece, if you're not able to take the pin out, just cut out the current neck. You won't be needing it anyway. Once that's out of the way, you should be able to take a long nose plier and take the pin out.

Just had a mini heart attack, my snaptrap fell about 8 feet. Was carrying him back from my living room and I had all the sword bits in my other hand. Dropped him and he fell onto my stairwell. Luckily it's all carpet and he didn't move after the fall. His left leg shot out all the way and his arm was in a weird position, but he's unharmed.

TFC's Weibo has a video, showing just that. Is there a "nice" way to remove it?

TFC (official?) Ironshell neck replacement vid:

    http://m.youku.com/video/id_XMjQ4MjI3Njg1Ng==.html

    Looks like three different options.
    1. Drill out hole in new neck to make hole slightly larger to re-use pin.
    2. Remove center section of pin, use only 2 ends to hold neck in place.
    3. Remove black coating from pin by sanding/polishing, before re-using.

Based on my experience with BigBite, I'd lean towards option 3.

I'm just gonna leave it for now. Looks fine where it is, too much hassle to replace.

Hands-down my favorite 3p combiner. Super pose-able compared to most other gestalts. Can't wait for 1k-kills

Loaded just fine on my iPad, maybe try a different browser?

I'd like to see a video about this in english, preferably from a customizer. There have to be some better tricks to doing this all "easily" that this video just doesn't cover. Of all of the third party figures I have, and all of the fixes and replacement parts and such that have been packaged with them, this seems like by far the least consumer friendly.

The way I removed the pin was slightly risky, but worked and was fairly easy. I started by removing the five screws on the under/inside of the shell and took the part with the wings off, and then also removed the head.

I discovered through some fiddling, trying to remove the pin normally that there is a decent amount of "give" to the two outer pieces of plastic holding the pin that is allowed by the empty space which stores the head. This allows you to cause a slight separation between that plastic and the piece that holds the head, which exposes the pin.

I slipped a small pair of wire cutters in there and with some good force snapped the pin. From here it's easy to slide the neck piece out and you use pliers to pull the two sections of pin out.

I opted to reuse the pin, and tossed the smaller bit out and worked the new piece on by rotating back and forth while applying pressure to slide it down to the middle. This smaller pin is now able to slide in one side from the middle and using that "give" in the plastic you can slip the other side in.

As stated, it is slightly risky, because if you try and force far too much on the "give" of the plastic it could crack, but it is surprisingly sturdy. You just need to be slow and careful about the process. If this helps anyone that's cool, but I don't expect many people to give it this much effort.
I could be bothered to provide a few pic if absolutely needed.

Wait, wait! How could you make all of their guns so g1 accurate except for snaptrap's?! I would still buy the set, but that's a huge disappointment.
For reference to those who don't know...

Unfortunately, that looks like a pain in the ass. Any chance of a second Ironshell run coming with this new piece? I might wait.
