Perez canceled!?!?!!? noooooooooo

 

I thought the same at first, since I've met all of the G1 voice actors before at Botcons and even Neil Ross just earlier this month at Long Beach Comic Con, so I wasn't planning on going. But Jack Angel is just a few years shy of hitting 90, so I'm not too sure how many more of these he can possibly attend.

 

Anybody care to share their shopping list for the Con? What are you looking to pickup? Here's mine:
1. Con Exclusive (not sure which yet)
2. Art Prints from various sources
3. Maas Toys Skiff
4. A legends scale figure or two
5. An MP scale figure

I figured that I'd keep it vague for now and see how it shakes out once I'm there. Very exciting!

 

Basically I will just pick up whatever catches my eye. Ocular Max PS-06O Offroad is a definite buy, Skiff based on the price, the Calidus repaint is another buy if priced right. Planet X PX-09T Somnus is a really easy pass for me.

 

I only have things to buy that people asked me to pick up for them. :/

 

have you gotten to meet Jack Angel already? ya exactly I know what you mean, hopefully he is still in good health, but at the same time, I also have more going for me lately that would prevent me from going to another out of state convention, I barely went to my first out of state convention earlier this year back in April, at the time I had more availability.

 

Yes luckily I've met him before at Botcon 2014, but this time I want to get a picture with him, forgot to do that last time   I know what you mean about out of state conventions, it's definitely not easy!

 

ya when I met him back in 2013, it was at Frank and Son's Collectibles, got both a photo and autograph from him, he signed my Astrotrain. BotCon 2014 was in Pasadena, California at the time, so you live in California as well? The out of state convention I went to earlier this year was in Texas, South Texas Comic-Con. Also, have you gotten to meet Frank Welker yet?

I missed that Frank and Son's Animation Toon Con show, it had an awesome lineup of TF G1 guests (Alan Oppenheimer, Michael Bell, Townsend Coleman, Gregg Berger, Jack Angel, Wally Burr, Jim Cummings)! I went to the one the following year which was still nice but that 1st one was incredible, glad you were able to go! It's too bad that they seemed to have stopped doing them. Yep I am in the Bay Area so it's nice we get quite a few conventions here in California every year. I met Mr. Welker at Botcon 2015, had to go once he was announced as a guest!

 

awesome, lucky you!!!, ya I know I've said this many times but it really disappoints me and kinda bothers me on how Frank Welker still hasn't made a convention appearance in California or the West Coast yet, he is my next priority to meet someday. I was close to meeting Michael Bell at Frank and Son's collectibles in 2013 but left the convention early, earlier than his schedule said, I had hoped to get my vintage Prowl figure signed by him, I still need to meet Michael Bell as well.

 

Michael Bell appeared a couple of times at Long Beach Comic Con/Comic Expo. I've also met him at Sacramento Toy Expo in 2014 and Pleasanton for Colossus Con this year. I think he's appeared at TFCON a couple of times too. Hope you can meet him and Frank Welker soon someday!

 

ya, back in 2015, going to an out-of-state convention was still out of the question for me at the time, but since I went to my first out of state convention earlier this year back in April, it has opened me more and made me more willing to do it, I know Frank Welker was at HasCon this year, but since I live in California and that was all the way on the east coast, flight ticket prices would have been more pricey but if he had done a Con closer to California, like Texas, Arizona, Colorado or even the Mid-West such as Illinois, very likely I would have done it, hopefully the next Con Frank Welker attends is either in California or closer to California, like in the states I mentioned. I don't know why he hasn't done one in California yet, since California is typically where the big events happen and it has the largest population in the U.S.

I'm just really looking forward to seeing in person figures I don't have. Like maketoys jazz or the toy world devestator, gigasurs

Guy, heads up. The right bus from the Dulles airport to the Hotel is on curbs 2A and 2H. Seeing on twitter people getting on the wrong regency hyatt bus, apparently there are many of these hotels there.
