I kinda came off like a dick, sorry. I’ve been too glued to social medial lately and have been seeing a lot of false info and its been getting me fired up. I should have worded my post in more of a pure educational tone instead if an inflammatory one. I’m going to be in the front line of this battle, matter of fact I’m going to be the one in the hospital throwing tubes down peoples airways, Putting myself and my family at great risk, so I take this a little more serious than some others. I am not downplaying h1n1 nor the flu but from what the preliminary statistics are showing from other countries this covid-19 is going to hit us much harder than those other two

Somebody should downsize that Ravage mold so that it fits MP Soundwave. Why they went with the scale of a regular cassette instead of a micro-cassette is beyond me...

 

1.) MP Ravage already exists. If they downsized RMX Jaguar, all they’d be doing is reinventing the wheel.
2.) Expanding the size is good because a.) more people have handled cassettes in day-to-day life (seriously, name me one time when you used a microcassette), making the “disguise” aspect all the more plausible, but more importantly, b.) upping the scale allows more freedom for articulation and a more involved transformation; I’ve never seen that mold before, and that one photo sold me.

If you don’t like it, no one’s making you buy it. As for me, it comes in a cassette case and the instructions are in the liner notes, I’m there.

 

What is that Arcee recolour meant to be?  It looks hideous.

1. Dude, Hastak has a long history of failing with Ravage figures. MP Ravage was one of those fails. Downsizing this superior Ravage wouldnt be "reinventing the wheel". It would be upgrading my Ravage.
2. As a 43 year old collector and former DJ mixtape hobbyist, I know all about cassettes from BASF to SONY. And you are correct, I have never used a "micro" cassette recorder in my life. Although I have seen them. They were popular with 80s college students for taping lectures because they often fell asleep out of boredom. But Ravage is supposed to fit inside Soundwave. And nobody is calling for an 3 foot tall MMC Soundwave so MMCs choice of scale is pointless unless you like stand alone figures.
3. Im so tired of people with their silly "well if you dont like it, dont buy it" comments. GTFOH with that mess. Im making a comment. If the KO guys are reading and I inspire them to make it happen, why are you hating ? Arent oprions supposed to be good ? Why are you against me having something I would like ? Why does my comment bother you ? I trash many products I think are stupid but I never say they shouldnt exist. Somebodys buying them. And if nobody does, then the designer takes a hit and learns for next time.

 

It would be nice to reveal everything from Orlando online. I guess 3rd parties have something to show.

 

MMC’s Ravage is my only MP.

I like cats. A lot.  

Though, I think it’s still a better sized Ravage if I ever decide to get an MP Soundwave.

What is actually oversized in my eyes are MMC’s birds, where, instead, I think the Takara Laserbeak is perfect.

Now, I don’t really want a Rumble or Frenzy—unless I did get an MP ‘Wave, but I’d certainly go with MMC if I did.

Also, I’d definitely be down for an MMC MP Overkill and Slugfest, and maybe even Ratbat and Beastbox & Squawktalk.

And, for what it’s worth, I never made my own music, but I certainly remember getting tapes at Sam Goody’s back when I was kid in the ‘90’s. But, besides that nostalgia, I also really like the novelty of showing someone this metal cassette and then maneuvering it into a robot cat.

Moreober, I definitely agree that there is room for someone to either downsize MMC’s Cassettecons (like, ya know, MMC themselves), or for some company to step in with their own alternatives. At the very least, maybe FansToys will eventually offer their own Cassettecons separate from their forthcoming Soundwave.

 

Gotcha. Its just every Ravage Hasbro/Takara has ever made has been crap. Then MMC finally does him justice but the ignore scale and go for the alt mode. I get you about the nostalgia point. I got plenty of old cassettes. Just wish I could get that mold in scale with MP Soundwave. My general rule is I only collect official when it comes to MP scale. But I make exceptions for cassettes such as the KFC releases.

If I end up getting Proto Arcee (still on the fence) I think I’ll display her with the Diaclone MP’s. I mean, she’s not Diaclone by any stretch, but she still kinda fits the theme of “pre-Transformer.” Or at least.... “pre.”

Also on the fence on Glit. Part of me wants it because I like SG... but I was pretty underwhelmed by the original version of this figure and kind of regret buying it. It’s just too big to fit anywhere in my collection.
