papa did a bad bad thing
Has the schedule for the 3rd party panel been posted? Are they live streaming it this year?
Is there really no new items on display aside from G2 Bruticus from MMC? Wow...
Seeing the MMC First Aid and Steeljaw were also cool. I had been following the Defensor thread and didn’t realize how much more intricate the combiner hands are going to be for that set
I saw what looked like wrapped up Detolfs near the entrance inside the dealer room. I'm guessing those are going to be 3p figures they're waiting to reveal. Maybe after the 3P panel tomorrow
Any photos of MMC Steeljaw?
We technically got two but I got an in for getting the TFcon Toronto exclusives without having to attend. The ones that did not make it here for Baltimore are most likely going to Toronto in December.
I bought mentis this morning and am having second thoughts. Thinking of flipping him at cost and picking up stellarus prominon instead.
Today's haul from the convention. I really wanted the minicons when I was a kid, so I bought em as an adult! Also, I had Demolisher when I was a kid (albeit in the red and white tigerstripe color) and sadly got rid of it, so I'm glad I got my hands on another one as he was one of my favorites.
Darius was at retail price so I finally got one and that exclusive Megatron is really dope, I really like the weapon transformation.
I stuck to big purchases mostly today but managed to stay under budget because of some room sales last night and that I swapped for Stellaris Prominon.
GASP! But he's so cute! I love mine. Just out of curiosity, what's putting you off?
He's adorable! But my collection trends hard towards big & chunky and he doesn't really fit with that. My buddy I'm staying with got him and I played with him for a little while. I swapped him straight up for an MMC Star Convoy and I'm much happier with him
Shout out to the fella who hung out with my friend and I in the common space today. My friend got a Botcon 2011 Stunticon set and you had really good conversation with us for a few hours. I didn’t get your name but you said you were a TFW2005 user and if you see this I’d definitely love to stay in touch!
That was undoubtedly one of the best weekends ever. Kind of sad it's over but I had a lot of fun.
How'd y'all do on figure hauls? I spent more than I probably should have but less than I could have. Picked up one of the con exclusive Megatrons and the @Grimlockimus custom I'd had my eye on, among other things. (BTW, I was the Jazz walking around, if anybody saw me.)
I had a lot of fun. My voice is sore from talking to so many fellow Transformers fans and it was worth every minute.
I guess this is the place to upload my pics of the convention then. I wasn't aware this was here.
I really enjoyed seeing all of cosplayers.
Your costume was super well done!
WOW at walking around all day (all 3 days?) in full knit though
Yeah, I got pretty toasty in it. It was worth it, but man, the sweat was so real.
Oh! I just realized that I forgot to post any photos of my figure from the custom class. Some of the other attendees did their own thing with theirs, but I just followed the scheme chosen for the class. I did take the chance to touch him up and and some more detailing and some toyhax Decepticon insignias when I got him home on friday night just to make sure his paint was as even and neat as I could manage to get it. The yellow on his windows is a little iffy but I had such a hard time trying to get the damn paint to even stick to the clear plastic that I'm calling it good.
Decided to go to the ComiCon on the same day, since it opened first and my girlfriend was more interested in getting artwork there. Ended up waiting in line an hour only to be asked for my Covid test papers. We didn't have any, and were forced to get rapid tests just to get in ($30/each). Waited in that line another hour to get negative results and finally made it in.
Bought a load of artwork and a few other things, then headed to TFCon because I desperately wanted Venus Terzo's autograph.
Got there and she was absent. Saw the table, but never saw her.
I was crushed.
Enelded up walking around a little while to see the dealer booths. Prices were what I was expecting, so I only bought an Archecore Frost Light and a soldier, and a stuffed Ravage for my daughter.
Really wanted to meet and greet, but I was so irritated that we decided to just leave.
