For people's information:

The character on Generations Drift is equal to "wait" or patience. The kind that's like "waiting for the opportune moment to strike" type of wait.

The character on SG Drift is equal to "Eternal" as someone said. It is mostly used in the context of "something is lasting forever", or "always persistent", for example.

I would have thought that since SG Drift is evil, maybe they were going for the "eternal" undying warrior, aka, undead. I would have maybe preferred a character that's opposite of Drift's patience. Something to do with strike now, hard, and fast, like "擊" or something murderous like "殺" (killing, slaughter)

 

I was in the market for another Drift to give SG Drift some swords so they could battle it out Snake eyes, Storm shadow like and now I don't have too!

Really anticipating next years club exclusives, well done funpub!

 

I gotta say this figure really upsets me for the following reasons:
- We need a deadlock. Badly.
- This is not deadlock, this is painted drift.
- This is not evil drift from a SG universe. Why cause evil drift is deadlock!
- We may never see a deadlock repaint now because of this. I hope I am wrong.

 

I hope we get at least one gun-door, as that's all I plan to arm him with. The rest will get spread out amongst the collection.

 

Yeah, I wouldn't mind getting that large gun too. Then he can be armed with the large gun, both small guns attached and all three blades stored... in botmode at least. Altmode, that's a differnet story.

I'm even thinking of grabbing the 3rd party http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radicons-customs/451590-blurr-upgrade-set.html to fully "over"equip Driftpool.

I would much prefer a black/red deco over white/red. Maybe a different headsculpt too with the blacked out eyes to mimic Deadpool's mask.

Actually the "Eternal" angle works pretty well for Deadpool since he damn near died so many times and still keeps coming back for more.

I agree that maybe something a little more sinister would have worked though.

 

Well, the character they used for Eternity usually have a position connotation. So that's my only minor "iffy" issue. Its a great toy, just... if it was more.. "bad"  

 

I'm not a painter myself, but I think it would definitely be worth it to complete the whole Driftpool look.

Has there been any talk if they will be giving him an entirely new head sculpt like they did for Runamuck and Runabout?

It would be a great way to differentiate, but since it is SG they will probably stick with the Drift head huh?

A Deadpool homage definitely deserves to be a little bad... if not totally BADASS!

I have to admit, the colors on him work really well!

 

Not just because I plan to repurpose him as Classics Knock Out, but I don't want it to be too "Deadpool." It's supposed to be Shattered Glass Drift, not a Marvel Crossover...

 

I'm just hoping they lose the white on the shins.

 

It doesn't look all that Knockout, going off the TCC mag mockups. They replaced a lot of the white with black, appropriately.

It actually looks pretty Deadpool.
