Hiya!

I am very interested in the Transformers Club sale that's going on, particularly Depth Charge. I'm a huge BW fan but have always balked at the prices at the club before. At the new low prices, there's a few I want to buy.

But do I have to have a membership first?

I really would rather not belong to yet another club (stupid MOTUC) so would anybody out there help a guy out?

Or are there real benefits of the club that I'm missing?

 

Benefits are sales like this, the club figure (which I have no interest in next year), the magazine which a fair amount of people seem to enjoy, and needing one to sign up for other exclusives.

If none of that interests you, best (or easiest) bet is to ask around in your local sightings thread to see if someone is a member and can order one for you. There should be someone pretty local who is a member.

I'd say if you like the freebie figure for the year, it is worth joining. Sadly, this year's figure doesn't interest me.

Yea, Ramjet at this point if you join. If you do join, make sure you go in your account, and uncheck the auto-renew box as well.

 

There is a myriad of issues the masses have had with the club, CC info stolen a couple years back, mis-assembled figures, lack of communication, Pete's attitude. Others can (and will) probably give better examples. I am in too good of a mood today.

Sadly, they have us by the proverbial balls sometimes as collectors, because our rage is outweighed by some cool figures. As much as I liked the Sub4.0 reveals, I had to pass this year.

 

I have, and will continue to vote with my wallet Runamuck and Runabout were my last TFCC purchase's

 

I've been part of the club since 2005 and will continue to stick with them. While I don't buy everything, I do get things I like. I love most of the released TFSS figures, and own and love about half of the Botcon figures out there.
