Heatwave has arrived in the UK at the same time as the other heatwave we've got! He was waiting for me when I got home. He's nice but overall, I don't think the club combiner freebies were worth the 5 years it's taken. Although my Heatwave is in one piece, I've noticed a lot of stress marks in the transparent purple plastic. There's a lot of stiff joints involving the clear plastic and I don't think it was designed for such a\fragile material. Unless next year's freebie is any good, I won't be rejoining the club. What's the delay with this year's club exclusive's as well? Weren't the Seacons & Nightbeat released around BotCon last year, which was earlier than this year. There doesn't ever seem to be a problem producing 10+ toys each year for BotCon but in 4.5 years of the club exisitng we've so far only had 4 club exclusive toys plus the annual freebies.
The club has three speeds regarding exclusives being made and sold...slow....freaking slow...and stuck in neutral at the side of the road....that menasor with omega head will probably not be avaliable until this time next year if we are lucky...this is why i have not rejoined the club when my membership expired...the meh factor of the combined transformers plus no news about what was supposed to be the next free figure said to me "sorry but i got better stuff to spend that $40 on" maybe i will rejoin once i see pictures of the next exclusive... the biggest factor is the lack of story progression on the club maganize....it seems like they are trying to do too many stories at once and it is too disjointed and lacking IMO... end result=not worth the money right now since other things are needing funded and money spent on...
That Menasor with the Omega head will not be one of the next club exclusives to be released at all. Pete's already said this at BotCon. The "other" exclusive (besides Punch/Counterpunch) is not Shattered Glass at all, apparently. Other than it being large, there's really not much else known about what it is. But we do know it's not those things....
When did we find out about a Punch/Counterpunch exclusive? I've otherwise no reason to continue my membership either.
