I received my latest issue of Master Collector today, and though it's an "off month" (meaning no magazine is inside), on the front cover of the Master Collector is a picture of Universe Pirahnacon, in his exact Universe colors (as far as I can tell-- if there's any changes, they're really, really minor).

So just in case there was any doubt that we were getting the Seacons as a Club Exclusive or that they'd be in their Universe color scheme, there ya go.

Does the magazine say anything else about them besides the cover shot?

Outstanding. Kinda figured it was coming based on BotCon, but still, great to see some hint of progress.

do we know if this will include the parts needed to mege him?

I hope this isn't like the one set sold in Asia that did not include the merge parts.

I thought all of the Seacon variants had the gestalt pieces. I am, however, aware that Nautilator was omitted from the Beast Wars Neo set. So I guess these new revelations of Seacons justifies those all-white prototypes that were on eBay a while back. So is Piranacon going to be sold as a giftset and/or store exclusive?

Nice. I wasn't a fan of the Halloween colors when I saw them way back when, but they're growing on me. Maybe when they're finally released I'll have warmed up completely to the suckers.

I hope we hear something about Aelita-1 soon :)

It'll be nice to finally get these guys though, one can never have enough Scramble-guys :)

And yes, any limb-guy can be any limb or the gun. He's the only "Targetmaster" combiner ;)

    Release date?

My guess? Two days after my membership expires.

I kinda dig 'em, but I'm not sure I care for the colorscheme. I'll grab 'em if the price is right. I'm not exactly sure what price would be right for me though.

Hey you know, if the BW2 Seacons get more appearances in IDW's Beast Wars comics, do you think Hasbro will release the BW2 versions?

You must be talking about the God Neptune sets sold without parts by BBTS. I don't think anybody knows exactly why there were so many of those sets, but those aren't even representative of the normal GNs, which did include their proper parts (but not individual weapons or Targetmaster stands).

Test shots of Piranhaking from the days when it would be released in Energon or Universe include everything. I doubt that his TFCC incarnation would be any different.

Best design concept in a long time!

I chatted with the BBTS guys one year about those, and they told me that they had receieved a few cases that were utterly mangled, and the "open-boxed" versions were their attempt to recoup on the damaged product.

Still doesn't explain the missing combiner-bits, and it could have been a cover-story, but who knows

Hey, Master Collector.....Put me down for 2 sets of these guys. Especially if you can package it like the old gift sets.

As unnofficial as the set still is, that has got to be the single most blatant proof that they're "working on it/it's coming this winter." And I also hope for any and all Classics Elita-One news soon. They'll probably release both as club exclusives for 2008, since they seem to be going for an ultra and deluxe duo for the exclusives (like Astrotrain and Airrazor for 2007.) Well, I hope so, anyways. :)

Good news. I'm all over those.

And keep those molds on the production line for an Encore King Posideon reissue!
