This is a rather ignorant statement. Given how transparant Hasbro has been with the fandom regarding costing of figures, the process of design etc. a repaint/slight remold is the best you can ever hope for.

Given these are incredibly expensive to produce such a small number already, to add on the costs of design, prototyping, development and production on to a relatively tiny fan-club you're asking far, far too much.

I am just glad they didn't take the Galavtron toy which an utter piece of crap and try to do something with that.

Now if we get a repaint of a larger toy, can we either get Cybertron Menasor in shattered glass colors or as a Universe Omega Supreme. Thanks.

I'll be picking this toy up, whether or not I have to renue, he looks cool enough for me.

I'm not to keen on the elite guard aspect, but oh well.

Producing a brand new figure from the ground up is VERY expensive; to get those costs back the club would have to charge a LOT of money for membership.
Why do you think Hasbro even MAKE repaints? Why do you think that we get so many Masterpiece repaints? A large part of the money made goes to PAYING for their development.
I would have thought that was obvious.

You think it would be a bigger club if every one had to pay $300 a year to join it? I mean don't you understand that the only reason we get as many new moulds as we do in transformers which are a very expensive product to produce is because Hasbro can recover there R&D costs on things like repaints and small remoulds.

I'm not saying be grateful for every lazy repaint out there or poor mould that’s recolored a dozen times but to cut out repaints or to give the club an exclusive mould for a free toy is economic suicide which would basically mean we'd have no new transformers at all.

they're not making money on this free toy, so why not just go all out an make something worth joining up for

at least the transparent combiner was half decent, this is just stupid. Almost as dissapointing as the toys that come with your happy meals

Cos then they would be losing massive amounts of money on it.

Its actually what people have been asking for, odd TF back ground charicters that actually got a toy, also given this guy is thought to become either Ironhide or Ultra Magnus it makes him a pretty interesting charicter fiction wise.

I'm not saying you can't hate it, I get why some people don't like this mould but its as close as anything out there to the charicter and it is FP trying to give people what they've been asking for with out being to predictable.

It wouldn't be the first time fanon becomes canonized.

I feel sorry for this Hot Shot mold. Just 10 months ago it was being praised as a shining example of how "Hasbro cares about the fans." Now, it's "retire the mold already."

That combiner required a five year waiting period. Props to them for retaining customers that long just to complete the combiner, but...five years is a very long time.

What exactly are you trying to say here? If you know these things why ask the questions and make statments that go against the fact you apparently know?

Or are you actually saying you make zero sense? I'm not having ago here I am honestly confused.

Sure they are. People paid up front as much as a year in advance to guarantee getting this figure, and whatever extras are going to be sold at what I imagine is at least a fair margin.

Also, you take back that happy meal comment. The Changables were great.

If it was so obvious to you why were you asking for things that are clearly impossible?

Or are you just out to troll for the sake of it?

so, IF the other two figures are Orion Pax and Arial, which toys would be best suited for them? I'd bet that Energon Arcee will be used for Arial (I can see it already) but who would be Orion Pax?

Ideally, each new character would have a new mold, or at least some remolding, but that would mean fans would have to spend a lot more to cover costs. Look at how much third-party companies are asking for unlicensed products. Doesn't matter if it's a City Commander kit or Drift.
