TFC's won't fall that low to do that! Lol

TFC's designer team is proud of their engineering prowess. :)

Nice thing about Hun-Grrr is that the pair of long necks gives a very nice way to organically incorporate combiner mode legs. My only concern is how they would be constructed to be able to hold the weight of the torso and arms. I doubt they could give us the flexible armature they used for Sinnertwin/Astaroth.

They know how to make combiners, I wouldn't be worried about that.

I’m conditioning myself to expect a more non-traditional Hun-Grrr (Asmodeus? That what they’re gonna call him?) than we are used to. Like they’re gonna flip his expected transformation to using the twin dragon necks as his bot’s arms instead of his legs, or something like that.

Maybe instead it’ll be as simple as hinging the dragon heads away to the back of the thighs instead of using them as the kneecaps.

A quick check shows him up with the rest of the other major retailers. June/July-ish.

These things must not be selling very well seeing how they are dropping the price for the latest member ......

I got my preorder in with Show.Z Store.

I wouldn't say prices are dropping. I think they have remained pretty consistent. From what I remember, I paid about 90-100 for the seacons with Captured Prey. About that time ShowZ started with prices at 5-10 less than Capture Prey prices. So I, for one, am grateful that the prices for these guys have been pretty consistent with seacon prices, even across the last few years.

Please don't conflate Western retailers and Chinese retailers. In the West, the other three members of this set (not some other set) are priced at 100 bucks a piece, but this guy gets a 10 dollars discount. That's a price drop no matter how you look at it. This is noteworthy because things that are selling well like Fans Toys, XTB, etc are getting a price bump.

From my understanding of the general opinions of the 3rd Party intelligentsia, it is in a style and scale that’s a few years past being fresh.

    I digs it, though.

Broken record, but being utterly unable to do the traditional G1 limb configuration is a deal-killer for me at least, and I assume a few others.

Also, I thought the earliest concept sketches looked the best, each revision became less appealing.

I wonder if it's really not just as simple of a case of combiner accessories, though? The first 2 releases both came with that giant foot piece. Now the 2 arm bots go up with some listing Leviathan at $90, some still at the $100 price tag. Photos so far look to indicate Leviathan comes with 2 combiner hands, but we don't know if Lucifer will come with a variant set of hands, or no hands at all? Maybe needing less packaging space and weight is all there is to this, in combination with the uncertainty of whether Lucifer will include combiner parts or not?

    I don't know what you're expecting?

This was always going to be stylised and it was clear they're making Cutthroat an arm from back in July 2017 when the silhouette was shown.

All you're doing is frustrating yourself coming to the thread.

There's always hope, for either "secret hidden scramble-ability", or a revised mold/upgrade kits, etc. It's not like there's massive amount of work needed with most limb-bots to go from one to another. Especially considering that many of these are just re-hashes of their quadruple-forming Seacon limbs.

And the earlier version looked a bit more scramble-able, so it was always a possibility it might be "left in" through later revisions:
