I have the regular Optimus Prime colors but you won't be disappointed. It's an amazingly posable, hefty, imposing figure that feels nice and solid and has a rather simple but effective transformation. Nothing on it feels fragile or fiddly except maybe the fully posable hands but even those are nicely sized and don't feel exceptionally fragile or anything. Just, you know, don't throw it fist-first into a wall or something.

I'm glad you pulled trigger on this guy :)

If anybody asks me to recommend just 1 transformer, I'll say it's this guy.

Won't say it's the absolute, perfect transformer, but it's the closest one so far for me.

I need to make up my mind on to either get the green or red version. Ive delayed the decision so much I don’t want to wait longer and have availability disappear.

He’s going on my prime shelf. Not sure which mode I’ll display in. I’m struggling on the balance between fitting in with my primes vs the G.I. joe homage.

Give me an opinion. Which one would look better here

Green. It's the most unusual Prime color, and he can double as that General Optimus botcon deco:

I regret cancelling my pre-order but I have to stop collecting unnecessary Primes and this guy didn't make the cut. Unless someone is dumping him for cheap or I get an unexpected windfall, I'm out.

Red might blend in the best, but ironically camo will makes sure it doesn't get "lost" in the visual profile. Plus the eyes are only painted on the camo, look lifeless otherwise.

Camo version is officially my favorite prime after TE-01.

@Friendross I'd also say the green camo version.

It may not be a colour associated with Optimus Prime, but you already have several Optimus figures in his standard colours (red/grey/blue) so another one would be just that: another one in a different design. But you don't have a green Optimus yet.

I'd have to say go camo as well. There is something really striking about him in this deco, and for my collection of primes, I love having a versions that stand out.

If I manage to get one, I literally just plan on calling him: "Battalion".

I would echo the sentiments of the posters above, go for the green camo version. That's what I did, it's currently enroute to me from one*day_bid who has 2 left and the best price I could find on eBay from a reputable seller. Like others said, you can have another blue and red OP or you can have something unique. To me the GI Joe crossover reference with the military camo pushed me from a "maybe" when the first version came out to a "gotta get this" when the jungle version was released. Decided to go ahead and pick one up with some eBay bucks promotion before 1) ebay starts charging sales tax in CA (October 1) and 2) before inventory dries up completely.

    Go green.

I have both versions. I painted the eyes on the original and they look fine now. Both are really nice - you can't go wrong..

I always hear people say this. So you open a factory sealed figure, make sure it's all there and sell it?

I picked up the original for my brother because he's a big GIJoe fan so I knew he'd enjoy the artwork on the box. Then I ordered the camo one for myself. In the process, I stopped collecting but since my supplier had already gotten him in stock and I'd requested the figure..i took it to see how I felt about him and decide if I wanted to keep him

At the end of the day it just seems these purchases don't bring me the joy they once did so I packed him back up and now I'll sell him to someone that does still enjoy the hobby. I planned on just keeping a couple odds and ends and I did like the look of this guy but at the end of the day I'm just not feeling him like I thought I would. They happened with me on a Phoenix too..so I passed it on to someone that would enjoy it more than I am.
