I just sold a guitar for about $950, and had a $20 coupon with TCP. Hopefully it will go out tomorrow with my TFC Blot and MP Cheetor

Oh, this big boy is lovely. Glad I got it. Definitely some inevitable, unavoidable paint scratching but oh well. Already had the base Optimus Prime colored version so I knew what I was getting into with posability and whatnot.

 

Finally got around to getting the crossover symbols from Toyhax to put on these guys:

 

This is cool, and would fit nicely with STC Camo and Nuclear Blast - Non-TF: - (TF-Adjacent?) Dia-Naut GI Joe Customs:

 

Just got mine today from Show Z. The rear missile holder (made from three items that slide together too loosely and the instructions show in the WRONG configuration) was a bugger to do. Also, the ramp for roller doesn't seem to open in combined trailer mode, as there are tabs that impede the ramps from swinging out? I managed to cram Roller into secure storage though, but couldn't find a place for the ion blaster...

 

Mine is finally in the US. Just has to travel across 8 states to get here most likely through PB

 

That faction symbol looks good with those tampos

 

i'm still torn between getting this new one and the older red-blue version. i couldn't "see" Prime in the jungle camo which is strange because i have a Ghostbuster Prime and i could definitely see an Optimus Prime with that one.

 

If you had or wanted the GI JOE Rolling Thunder as a kid, its not even a choice. Camo wins. If you like prime colors get the prime. I personally love the crossover aspect so I went with the camo version.

 

I've got the Nuclear Blast and original, both in Camo. If you are doing it for the Rolling Thunderness, defo get the original.

 

Think of it as "General Optimus Prime".


Also, (Roller, at least) can interact with Diaclone pilot figures.



And Optimus looks great leading other militaristic Autobots.




My only gripes are the lack of foot/shoulder "pivots" (forward and back for the feet and "butterfly" or "ball joint" for the shoulders), the inability for the ramp to deploy in vehicle mode (as the new "ladders" are in the way, the small/weak/inconsistent pegs/holes to attach the rockets/kibble in robot mode, and the inability to attach all of the kibble (including Roller and the ion blaster) in robot mode.

 

Caved and bought the Camo Jungle version as well over the weekend... just wanted them for the Diaclone compatibility.

They will be nuking some bugs soon!

I've been trying figuring out how that works without any luck. The way they have the smaller backpack tabbing into the back in the image on the left doesn't really work so well. Mine doesn't want to hold. Roller doesn't have a place to fit in the same spot as the rightmost picture but can wedge into a small gap if you use the extra grey shoulder bits.

 

Hopefully Kim Jong Prime goes on Thanksgiving sale.

 

Thats one reason I wanted this version was to store everything. Figures lol
