Got my Kim Jong Prime v2
    Cons:
    - you can no longer attach the rocket to the forearm due to how the new parts are molded (no peg)
    - looks like TFC skipped some paint details compared to v1 (could it be just my copy?:( )
    Pros:
    - the new cape is kinda cool
    - everything else :D

Just got him and had a quick fiddle. The ratchets are super solid! No chance of playing with this without everyone else in the house realising. Definitely feels a step up in quality from prior TFC figures I've had.

The instructions are... okay. It does feel like they've just constantly updated the original as at some points the figure is of the original Rolling Thunder Version and sometimes it's off the Nuclear Blast version (and sometimes it's hard to tell because this new version has the middle section of the original toy rather than the NB version). I love the flexibility of the base mode, although I keep thinking there's something I can do that uses ALL the bits...

Also, the way the tip of the big nuke comes off and opens up... is that supposed to actually look like anything? I can't really see any uses for it.

Apart from that, so far, it seems a great figure.

You can plug it on the back of the "missile ramp wing things" when they're on him in his super-ultra-nuclear mode and it looks like a giant thruster.

Close, very close. But still not quite Thunderclash enough. Maybe if I paint the thighs red and the shins gold.

    Crap!

I'm perfectly happy with the regular green version. I'm perfectly happy with the regular green version. I'm perfectly happy with the regular green version. I'm perfectly happy with the regular green version. I'm perfectly happy with the regular green version. I'm perfectly happy with the regular green version. Looks very nice, but the regular green is already a stand alone piece so I'm not going to get another.

I'm good going for the green one (I'm here for the joe reference) but I do love that color scheme.

No-no. Really, no. Not going to get it. It's not the first time I've really enjoyed the look of a figure or would love to have it, but still didn't get it. I probably don't buy figures that interest me more then I do buy them. Because if I do...well, I've been there 15 years ago. And if I hadn't limited myself back then I would've owned well over 2000 TF figures by now (the current 450 is already too much, especially with SW and Lego and books also competing for space).

Also, I absolutely love the regular green TFC commander figure (never cared for the traditional Optimus colours, so green was a no brainer) and have it in fact standing next to me on my desk. But one is enough. They'd have to do something really special for me to give in for another, since outside of standing on my desk, TFC commander doesn't fit in my collection. It's an extra, a cool figure bought just because it's a cool figure. And as such, a second one would only diminish its value in my collection.

    I assume it’s a low-profile mortar or a mine.

So this thing has some of the worst instructions of any figure I've ever bought. It comes packaged in an upgraded vehicle mode, but the vehicle to bot directions don't have the added parts. Going into the upgraded bot mode, nothing in the directions tells you you need to take a piece off of the arms, and then nothing in the directions tell you that the smaller missiles are stored inside the larger ones. Like, these instructions are total crap.

    Better to use video reviews.

Ended up figuring it out, but it's still pretty pathetic that TFC couldn't be bothered to create a legitimate instruction manual for this release. I shouldn't have to rely on video reviews when purchasing a $220 figure.

It's your choice. Not blaming you, but the videos out there are better than manuals. Or at least they aid in visuals.

And that's fine, but that doesn't refute the validity of my complaint. It's pathetic that a company that has been around as long as TFC put out a product for over $200 with this pathetic of an instruction manual.
