I recently picked up the TFC MP Starscream Coronation set but was disgusted with the "cape" that it came with. Hardly fit for a King of the Decepticons. So I made my own. You like? If enough people are interested, I may offer a very small number of these to members.
My guess is mainly the quality of the cape is much better now (better quality fabric, etc.). I don't own the set, but from what I've read, the cape that comes in the set is a little bit on the skimpy side, in that regard.
yeah the cape it comes with is thin plasticy feeling fabric that frays, I wanted something a little more substantial that draped like a cape should, instead iof being ridged and creased..
Ya, I've never been impressed by the cape that comes with that set. This looks much much better. I'd probably be interested but a friend of my wife is a bit of a seamstress and I've asked her if she ever has some extra purple fabric to make me a replacement cape.
Does your wife know you're using discarded undergarments to make clothes for your toys? Cause I think she should.
Where does it attach, it looks fairly low on his body. I would prefer something that at least covered the back area from top to bottom.
its the exact same shape as the original, i just made it longer and shaped the bottom, it attached behind the shoulders.
I think it's a damn sight better than the one they gave us. Yeah it was shiny in certain light but mine has frayed bigtime in the 3 years I've had it. I'd personally like a hard plastic "spawn-like" for mine. Nice improvement tho dude!
