Hi All,

I noticed that TFC toys listened to the fandom when it came to the chest piece for Hercules. So I would like to do a second request, and hoping to get some fandom backing.

Please vote in this thread and lets hope that we are heard.

So what I want is for them to make a G1 styled head as well. So it would still come with the head they currently have, but would include a second head that had G1 styling. Since they included the chest piece, we can either pose this guy in his Comic form of his G1 goodness as long as we get a matching head. I for one would love that.

 

Take a moment and replay to this thread. It will actually be useful.

Our words got us a chest shield and we can score us a G1 head option.


Have TFC add it or else pay even more money when someone else makes it.

I really do not feel like paying $30 for a CD head with LED eyes.

Not at the expense of a higher price. An aftermarket option is best here for those who want one, without forcing the other crowd to have to pay more for a head that won't be used.

 

No way at a mark up. I would only want one at the same price. I figure we got the chest shield for free, half a head shouldn't be an issue.

 

Yeah, unless we see a bump up for the figure with the shield piece, I cannot see this being bumped up more.

I mean iGear gave us 3 heads on Faith Leader which is $100. Why cannot I get 2 heads on a $600 figure?

I like the current head and in the g1 toon devi had about 3 different heads in one episode and two of them looked amazingly stupid, the way it is will do just fine for me.

 

I always wonder how people vote no on these things. I mean, I really doubt they are going to raise the price for an extra head.

Like I said, Igear gave us Faith Leader with 3 heads for $100. Why is it so much to ask for 2 on a $600 figure?

 

I can get behind this. I don't dislike the current head, but an extra G1 style one would be nice. As has been said, it's doubtful that it would increase the price, so there's not really any drawback.

 

I also just thought about it, they are giving us a second cane for free even if yours is not broken. So really, how much could a new head cost?

I figure just the mold. If iGear sells heads for about $12 a piece, it cannot be that much, and it would make the fandom happy if they do it.

It's really a no lose.

 

I was going to mention the shovel arm. But then realized that it was already moulded. After that, the piece counts is pennies. The thing with a new head is they have to make a mould for it, which according to many people here runs into the hundreds of thousands of dollars lol.

But they made the shield and hopefully aren't charging for that. I'm sure we will see another head.

 

I would love to know how a head mold runs into the hundreds of thousands of dollars and iGear manages to sell them for like $15 a pop. At that calculation, iGear would have to sell 10,000 cup heads to coming close to making a profit.

I think if I started a poll that said, "I have a way to get free transformers legally are you in?" we would still get like 30% of the people to say no.

I would love for someone to explain their no. The closest thing I heard is that it would increase price. I guess we have to wait to see if the chest piece increases price.

 

Alcurd, take a closer look at the head. There is a new pic up on page 12 of the new Herc thread. The new head looks a lot nicer and very G1 minus the Goggle eyes.

I was joking about the hundren thousand dollar mould. But when you hear people talk you would think that the moulds are made of plantium and the designers and engineers are all multi millionaires because they get paid by the truck load for designing a TF figure.

 

Yeah, I saw the head, it does look nice, but I still want a G1 head. This way I could go full steam on the G1 side or pose him with my comic guys. The only problem I had with the head on the page 18 was the sides of it. Looked weird. But it may look a lot better once it is actually painted up right.

At the very least they should give us a visor like FP did for Superion.

 

Like others said. Nothing is wrong with the current head and any more extra parts should just be designated to the aftermarket or included without a delay or price increase. I'm sure the shield design was always on the table in the first place so I don't know where people were getting off on saying that it was fan backlash that had them add it. There were obvious chest pegs for a reason. Unless they admitted that somewhere.

 

If anything at least a visor we can put on him. That'll go quite a ways. Although a second head would be cool.

Regardless, I bet you someone will make casts of a more G1 accurate Devy head scaled to the Hercules model... just like there's been casts for one suitable for Custom Devastator design folks have been using for some time. Similarly, I wouldn't be surprised if folks made another Chest Shield too.

 

Oh I dunno, the fact that when it was first revealed it was stcuk together with gum? It was an after thought. They heard the fans and replied.

 

What are these obvious chest pegs you are reffering to? I didn't see them.

 

Absolutely no foundation to the idea that complaining got us a chest shield. People started complaining long before the completed figure was shown. There's no reason to think a chest shield wasn't always the plan. More than that is wild speculation. By that logic, complaining about the grey prototypes got us figures in green and purple. Complaining about not seeing mixmaster made them realize "oh, he needs TWO legs." Maybe the prototype was stuck together with gum because it was a prototype.

I think the head that comes with it looks great. If they choose to throw a second one in there, awesome, if not, I probably won't buy another one even if another company makes it.

Honestly, you people would have sat behind Da Vinci saying "do you think she really needs to smile like that?" and then if he changed it, you would go around telling people you changed the Mona Lisa. Fucking leave it alone.
