I really like it that TFC is getting feedback in improving the set. This upgrade kit is not for everyone, only certain collectors. Thus, the price has to be high enough to sell in limited quantities. In my opinion, the price is not that high for all the things you are getting. This kit certainly has something for everyone. I agree with others on the thread that random missile launchers is a BAD IDEA. I would prefer if they used G1 colors as a guide, though not necesarily the only standard.
Remember TFC made a better Movie Optimus Prime Blade than Hasbro/Takara when they released it later.

If anyone wants to do a group buy from Robot Kingdom, count me in. I could do that order if anyone requests it.

I was really looking forward to ordering this set, even if all I wanted were the launchers. I'm definitely not going to order now with the random colors. The whole point was to make accessories that make the Henkei figures even closer to the original G1 figures--black launchers and silver/white tips.

What's the point of messing around with random inaccurate colors? It's either just a really poor/dumb decision or a blatant attempt to make people buy more sets.

 

I think hasbro should just include the paint and brush with their figures. you know, to finish the job.

They need to reduce the damn price too. Arghh

 

I'm not thrilled by the random nature of the missiles, but given that with (very) slight modifications you can use the actual G1 launchers, I'll probably give this a miss, especially given the GBP - USD rate at the moment...

Simply amazing how everyone was so upset when the original renders for these products came out with the exaggerated sizes and now that they've reduced the size to a more proportional scale everyone is still unsatisfied.

On the "random" launchers: it seems to me to be a misinterpreting of the explanation that is given (perhaps only lost in translation). From the image provided it appears that TFC is only telling us that the missiles can be interchanged with the launchers providing more color options. That would seem to make more reasonable sense.

Still awaiting clarification from the source, however...

Just got an e-mail from BBTS saying that they will now include 3 missile launcher sets; 1 in each color. No additional charge.

This is awesome, I was debating canceling my pre-order over that, but looks like I don't need to now.

 

add another to that confirmation. they definately are listening.

 

They should have reduced the price before reducing the missiles. The missiles look worse know. I prefer the original larger scale than these new ones.
