Plenty of panels have been (and continue to be) exclusive to the USA, there is nothing stopping the likes of TFCON organising something similar but they would still have to put the no recording deal in place to to this still being an internal document not intended for public consumption. Hasbro aren't putting this on, but will have granted permission along with Cartoon Network

That may be a possibility but a case of wait and see.
There is a strict no recording policy on the panel, that's part of the caveats that have been provided to do it.

It is worth noting that there are no Animated VA at the con but with Greg Berger, Peter Spellos and Brian Drummond it should still be a good show.

My heart dropped for a second there, thinking that there\'s gonna be an actual season 4 announcement. ;(

It'll be tricky since we'll have to write it from memory alone, but the story treatment will absolutely be getting a TFWiki article, in the same way that, for instance, cancelled Dreamwave issues do.

TFWiki has a special category of articles for apocryphal story sources, which were cancelled or released unofficially, but which are worth documenting due to the insight they give into works that are fully official.

I'm willing to replace my left eye with a gopro and replace a finger with a shotgun mic if someone wants to pay for my airfare and convention ticket.

The world needs more TF Animated fiction

Does Eugenesis have one? Because based on that it probably should.

Eugenesis is a few too many degrees removed, I think. It influenced JRo's later works, but it's a separate story. An example of a thing like that that does have an article is Alignment, since that was Furman unofficially continuing his official G2 story.

I realise that conventions almost always have something that is exclusive to that convention (i.e. IIRC, The first Infinity War teaser trailer was exclusive to SDCC back in 2017). However, out of all the things to make exclusive to TFNation, it’s this? Why? Seriously why? If Hasbro gave them permission to do this, but the catch was it had be exclusive to TFNation, then that’s understandable. However if it just exclusive for the sake of having something exclusive, it’s rather infuriating.

The no-recordings policy is a condition of Hasbro allowing them to do this, yeah. When writers, artists, etc. create things for Transformers as part of their job, Hasbro ultimately retains final control of it all, even if it's never actually used for a final product, like this story treatment.

There was a similar no-photos policy when TFN 2016 had a panel where Hasbro designer Emiliano Santalucia did a panel showing a bunch of his concept art for toys.

Not cool. TF Animated needs a cartoon come back. Not a comic.

It's not even that. It is a script reading I believe.

Regardless, we can safely agree that Animated deserves an actual cartoon continuation, and not more obscure and impossible-to-acquire fringe media.

...it's basically an audio drama, record the audio only no one will know your recording. Get a spot up front next to a speaker. Use a voice memo recording program on your phone, sneak in a pocket micro recorder. You won't be holding up the camera you can just have it in you lap no one will know.

    Well that sucks.
Just bringing Animated back would be nice.
Honestly, getting this is better than getting nothing at all.

Does Cartoon Network own the rights indefinitely or is it a money thing?
