I've been wondering why is it that the dlx bumblebee at toy fair looked like this while the ones on ebay look like this?
    thanks.

Because the one on display at Toy Fair is a handpainted display figure, and the ones are ebay are the final mass-produced figures.

The ones on ebay are probably what we'll be getting. I think. I'm known for being wrong, but I think that's what I read.

I guess I'll have to paint the stripe on the leg of mine when I finally get one

Wouldn't it be possible that we are getting the Toyfair shown version.
The release is still a couple of months away and I won't be surprised if Hasbro did a few last minute adjustments to the toys before they're actually released.

Well, the thing is, the line got delayed. A lot of these figures (at least the first wave) have already been made and packaged and are ready to go. We've seen most of these IN PACKAGE already, in numbers that would indicate this to be the case. We might see some tweaks to figures like Slag and Soundwave in the final product, but the ones showing up en masse on Ebay are the final production figures.

It's still possible that there might be a running change.
