Just speculation but with the box office success of AOE Were all expecting tf5 to be announced. Could it happen at comic com in 2 weeks time or is that to early. When was TF4 announced ? And if people think it's to early to announce films. Look at marvel/dc they have movies announced way in to the next 4 years.

2017 is my prediction...2016 is too unrealistic in my opinion.

isn't 2016 already crowded for the summer slate? 2017 makes more sense.

 

2017 is the best option a 3 year gap gives enough time for the film not to be rushed!

 

The executive producer of Paramount said himself that 2017 is most likely for TF5. (If it happens).

 

If they hire a new director I say 2017 but if Bay stays then I say 2016. While summer 2016 is crowded the movies are spread far enough apart.
Captain America 3 and dawn of justice are early may until one moves and transformers has always been July. So even if one of the earlier movies moves to June (just think of how easy that would be to solve this issue is just move one month away and it would be fine) so they are spread out enough that I don't think it would matter

 

I doubt they'll do much TF-wise at Comic-Con. It usually seems that other than that big hurrah in 2006, Bay is too cool for the geek crowd.

 

It's already been confirmed for 2017. A day before AoE's Hong Kong premiere it was screened at an exclusive event, sorta "meeting", for Paramount Officials where they went through all of the studio's upcoming projects. One of Paramount's VP's accidentaly slated TF5 for 2016 at this "meeting" but the day before that it was reported that they were eyeing a 2017 release date and the day after that "meeting" Paramount corrected the mistake and said that TF5 will be released in 2017. So 2017 it is. I don't remember the sources for all these news but if anybody wants to find them they're out there.

 

Yeah 2017 is the best option, more time to produce the film and not rushed unlike TF1, TF2 and TF3.

I think it's too early. Even if they annouce something for TF5, they won't have much to show for it
