What about this makes you think reboot? They have movies planned for the next 3 years. Bay may or may not direct but it'll still be set in the same universe.

 

I love it. Much better than any poster for AOE (cept Prime on Grimlock).

I would like a reboot, I don't think or have any knowledge that there's one coming. It's all wishful dreaming on my part.

At least the Chinese have the next 3 years to look forward to. They are loving these movies over there.

Watch them switch it around now... Megatron becomes the new prime and its revealed he's been the good guy the entire time in the movie-verse    

Bay will be back, even if he's not directing he'll have some involvement in the next few films (even if un-credited it'll be clearly using his 'style')

Its not a reboot - its just they need to remove Optimus from the film series for a while to focus on Bumblebee. Given Bumblebee is slowly growing to be more popular than Optimus and they have decided to utilise that with the Bumblebee movie.

 

Loving the poster. The thing in the see must be where Bumblebee was fighting Optimus...I think

 

Cool poster, but Bumblebee's limp arm doesn't have me too worried since he's getting a spin-off next.

 

I don't know but to me it seems like the Bumblebee movie will be some sort of a prequel probably showing him before the 07 movie

Yup, because Bee went from playing games and having fun with spike to fighting by Optimus side as this proclaimed warrior. That's what that Bee movie is going to be about maybe.

Only because it apparently "eats" the moon and is attacking Earth are why people think it's Unicron. I don't think they will go that far off the original design if they do Unicron in the future. Watch, the plot twist will be it's Gobotron, then TF6 is Transformers vs Gobots.

 

Not sure why people are reacting to this poster as being ominous or cryptic or chilling or dark or whatever. It's Optimus Prime for crying out loud... even if he turns "bad" for a bit, he'll obviously revert back to his old heroic self. This is really just the alternate equivalent option of killing him again for sake of "wow" but having him come back to life again later. We've seen this color-by-numbers template four times already - it isn't suddenly going to change.

Don't be surprised if hasbro does that, I mean, gobots haven't had a film in awhile, and hasbro owns it tonka, which own tonka. I'm not sure if it's profitable or not to release a life action gobot movie, then transformers vs. gobots would be saying Marvel vs. Dc.
