TF4 release date in Australia now 25th June

    It's now official... we knew it last week on Australian Theater booking sites, but now the Paramount site has updated with Australia being world first with the release now being Wednesday 25th June.
    Transformers: Age of Extinction :: Global Sites & Release Dates

    Not rubbing it in everyone elses faces... this is just in case any other Australian here didn't know, and want to see it on its first day, or a midnight screening on the 24th.

    Yeah my local cinema moved it about a week ago.. So I'm seeing it 11am on the 25th here in Victoria :D  can't wait! Wish I could go to Melbourne IMAX for the Midnight screening though! oh well I'm happy with 11am

    I don't get back from BotCon until 8am on the 26th, so now can't see it on the first day... and I would have loved to do the midnight screening at IMAX too. :(

    Not to be a killjoy but over in Hong Kong, it premieres on the 19th. Either way, I'll be waiting for spoilers from those who see it before the 27th.

    The advance screening doesn't count, as the normal release in Hong Kong is still listed as the 26th on the Paramount site.
    In terms of release dates on that Paramount page, it looks like Australia is first on the 25th, before several countries on the 26th.

    No. It's the 26th in Hong Kong. The World Premiere is the 19th. Not open to the general public.

    Right now I'm very glad I live in a country that doesn't give a rats ass about the world cup otherwise I'd have to keep readjusting my plans for the movie and my boss would not like that at all.

    This release date stuff is serious bullshit. They should have just kept it simple and released it worldwide everywhere on the same date, like they did with the other three movies. And that has proven to work just fine if you look at the box office. If anything, I think release dates beeing pushed back will hurt the movie sales more than anything.
