Thats not a leader class. I'd say he is voyager class.

Screws heads are big. They'd appear smaller if the figure was bigger.

If you examine the pictures where the photographer took pictures of the back, you'll notice that his arm and camera strap are in the shot. So you are able to do a comparison. That strap is about 3/4-1" wide. My estimate says that Prime is probably around 7" tall.

I think he'd go well with Robo-vision Optimus.

That back looks terrible. Well at least I'll be saving money on the movie line yet again!

Oddly enough if you look at the back side of the tire you'll see the rim on the inside is painted separate from the black portion of the wheels in a place where they wouldn't waste the paint, even on a prototype and there's no hollow void like they usually do to save plastic when wheels are molded in one piece. It does indeed look like chrome or silver rims with rubber tires.

    EDIT: Yeah look here:

the tires on the far right you can see that the rims are the only part that's hollow inside and that ends at the tires which if you notice the light sheen on the upper right tire, is smooth. Totally different from a single piece molded plastic wheel where the hollowness goes right to the edge of the tire. That suggests to me that they have rubber going on those wheels...unless they change their mind and decide to cut the costs, lol.

Yeah they already confirmed calling this a Leader Class so yeah. Despite the actual toy size they call it whatever they like. Looks Voyager to me.

What I'm having fun with is...am I the only one that noticed they didn't sculpt on the headlights?

The sleeper bit on the toy actually looks longer than the real truck.

About what I expected after the warning we got from Hasbro this year at Botcon. They told us they were going to simplify everything. They showed us Prime BH Deluxes that were just up-scaled Cyberverse figures. They showed us Voyagers that were just up-scaled versions of Commander figures. Why would anyone be surprised when we see the new Leader class toys and wonder why they look like a Voyager figure?

At least someone was paying attention to the message boards and quickly tweeted out the official pics of the toy when they saw the comments heading south quickly. I swear Hasbro needs to send someone from the design team to these cons to make sure the prototypes are transformed properly.

As far as to my opinion on the figure goes, I think it looks like a nice voyager. Unfortunately it's a leader. I do hope we get all of that paint and chrome since I don't see any gimmicks. It'll go a ways to justify the price.

I'll save my real opinion for the line after I see a few Deluxes.

If you look closely at the official toy pics that were tweeted, you'll see that the headlights are actually molded into the plastic. As to why they didn't paint them in... I guess they had to cut corners someplace.

I had thought I had seen that too...but to me that looks like the bumper is making a reflection in the blue part that LOOKS like an indent. It's hard to tell though because the paint looks a bit thick in places and it's obscuring details.

If they are there...some silver paint at least would have been nice, lol. Cause it looks bad without them.

i actually suspect that this is a hand painted prototype, and not the final version. too. as there is a LOT of paint apps. and there is also chrome. something that is probably not going to be there on the final version.

Kind of a bummer. I LOVE the vehicle mode, looks amazing with all the chrome and paint and nice tires. However, the robot mode just doesn't do it for me. I think what kills it for me is the grill literally sitting on the back of the knees and the front of the truck just sitting on back of the legs. The arms also look a bit spindly and the head looks a bit big. Note that we haven't seen the on-screen model yet, however those traits wouldn't really look well on screen. Like I said before though, vehicle mode looks nice, but not nice enough to get me to drop 45 dollars, not without the robot mode being nice too. Not my cup of tea, but I certainly hope it is more enjoyable for the kids! If there's enough demand, maybe we'll see Takara continue the movie masterpiece subline with actual new molds instead of just repainted Leaders.

Does this mean that they're adding leader class to generations or is this just a one off?
The latter is more likely but the former could happen.

To whoever said that they can see a skull (I'm not looking through all these comments), I too see a dinosaur skull of what looks like a T-Rex. I made this image to have black lines (look at the podium) that outline what I believe to be the skull:

Money saved for some other figures then. This figure is an insult for Leader class and $45.

I just hope they don't screw up Dinobots.
