1. I hate that they killed off Ratchet so inhumanely in the beginning. 2. They made Optimus Prime so bloody violent. 3. Mercenary autobot crosshairs. I hate this guy. 4. None of the decepticons transform properly, all are stupid shortcut CG lazy stuff. No wonder you don't get decepticon toys, they can't transform at all. 5. Full of subliminals. The major thing about this movie is all about telling you to go question and challenge your creator/religion/faith. This subliminal is so not subtle anymore with recent spade of anti-god movies from hollywood (Prometheus is an exampl). I am kinda sick of these lame propagandas spoiling the spirit of Transformers. I was actually hurrying for the movie to finish. 3 hours is too long and the action gets stale. The lack of real decepticons are disappointing. Lockdown is probably the only real villain in the entire movie. I will put this in the same low quality as ROTF level.
Another "I hate Bay" thread.... Geezzzz -_- I like Bay, he brought Transformers in my life! I appreciate what he does, even with all this hate he gets. Its ridiculous. As Bay said "let them hate" TEAM BAY!
1. That's the idea, he be killed inhumanely, just like they wanna do with the rest of Autobots. 2. There's a thread about it, it'll explain very well. Search for it. 3. Because a character is a douche you hate the director? Lot of sense here. 4. First, they aren't Decepticons. Second, they aren't Cybertronians, why should they act/be like one? 5. That's your opinion, it's okay. Oh, and we don't need another "I hate Michael Bay".
I thought transformations were pretty cool. Especially when it left Bumblebee wondering WTF just happened...
That was the point. But it was justified here, more than it ever was in the last three films. He wasn't a mercenary. No one was paying him. He was just a jerk. Not every Autobot's a sweetheart. None of those Decepticons are real Cybertronians. They're a species all their own. ..I have no idea what you mean by the movie being anti-God.
Must be really subliminal because I haen't noticed anything different in my behaviour since watching it ... except whenever I see two gigantic robots engaged in combat, I feel compelled to get involved ... seriously, three fights over the weekend, it was madness! *sighs* You do that friend, and after Paramount finish counting their record breaking megabucks and take on board your apparant 'hatred' for Mr Bay, please send on my regards to Michael after he is removed from directorial duties and wish him the very best in all his future endeavours. "spoilter" Remember kids, a quick proof read before posting for grammatical and spelling errors goes a long way for others when reading the thread topic.
1. I hated the bad guys for killing off Ratchet so inhumanely. However, the scene was well done and very powerful. It had an impact, and from that stand point, they gave Ratchet a very meaningful farewell - something they never achieved in any of the past movies (even jetfire's death was ho-hum). 2. It may not have fit the history of OP, but within the context of the movie, I definitely felt like the story/script justified his attitude. 3. I liked him. /opinions 4. Ya, I can see that. 5. Where do you pull this crap from? Well, it being crap probably answers that question. Tell me, what kind of foil do you use? I'm a fan of Reynolds myself. 6. Agreed. Way too long, really brought the movie down a level. 7. While I too was disappointed at the lack of fleshed out cons, man, they made Lockdown out to be an awesome villain. Shame they killed him off :/
Without Bay, I wouldn't have ever gotten into Transformers. The movie line is his series, he gets to choose what to do with it. There are plenty of other Bay-less Transformer series out there.
