Remember in Iron Man 1, Terrence Howard played Rhoady, but in Iron Man 2 Rhoady was played by Don Cheadle? well i was watching the latest Bayhem vid and realized at 1:12 in the clip there's a sign at the bottom of the screen sating that Rosie Huntington-Whiteley was Mikaela Banes, and didn't even mention her as Carly. So I think instead of making her a new character, she's stepping into Megan Fox's shoes as Mikaela Banes.

Your Thoughts???

I thought it was confirmed that she was Carly by one of the producers or crew? That vid was made by Chicago Business, not Paramount or the crew. So I'm going with what was said by the people who are with the project. She's Carly.

 

If thats true...Rosie doesn't look anything like Megan Fox. So why replace her !!?? I'm pretty sure shes the new character Carly.

 

Yeah, it's a one line easy fix. "Wow, Mikaela, watching all those Monty Python movies is starting to affect your accent..."

 

Just the Iron Man 2 switchawoo? What about all the other movie sequels before it where a character's original actor was replaced?

Besides, it's not Mikaela, it's Carly. Chicago was just confused.

She's Carly, holy shit. How many times does this have to be said before people get it.

 

Proper names, women.. These are trivialities in Michael Bay's world. There are more important things to occupy yourself with, like shaking expensive camera equipment around and chilling with hunky military dudes.

 

I hate in ANY movie where they replace actors for characters. It just makes it harder for me to get into the fictional universe and pretend it's real for 2 hours or so.

 

Altho I personally think it's Carley, this is the only sure answer.

Yeah I saw that too. Without a doubt it's an error on behalf of the people reporting the news. It's Carly.

 

That could be mis-information.
But really, I'm inclined to think that it's Carly. She looks like her... and well, I just get the feeling she's Carly. We know Bay was going "very G1" with this movie, so it would make sense.

 

Okay, okay, you proved your point she's Carly. i just got confused that's all. but why add Carly and not make her Mikaela. It just doesn't make sense!

MIKAELA: "I love you Sam, i stood by after to had a near death experience and went to transformers haven, an i would always love you!"

2 years latter...

MIKAELA: "Umm...you know what? i changed my mind... i rather be a Jock conqubine then love you, even after all we've been though..."

either that or she dies at the start of TF3.

 

That's because people keep thinking the imdb info is accurate, when it's not.

This is more than likely accurate. They wrote Mikaela out. Pure and simple. Now how they wrote her out, is anyone's guess. She could have died, she could have just left Sam as they just weren't meant to be, and more.

I mean it's not like it's unusual for a couple to be in love for years, just to not have it work out for them. Especially when distance and college is involved, and constant danger. If she is alive, it's not like she dumped Sam for some dumb Jock years after highschool ended. That's life, you grow up, and move on.

To be honest, Sam's dad was semi right, he is young. Limiting himself to the first girl he ever really dated, just doesn't often work out for anyone. It can, but realisticly speaking, life isn't perfect like that.

Heck what if she left because Sam cheated on her with Carly(or whatever her name ends up to be). Just because Mikaela is the eye candy, doesn't mean she's the one at fault if it is just a break up reason instead of her dying.
