I think you have something there... it makes perfect sense, but that would lead me to believe that this scene in Chicago is not at the beginning of the the movie, but at the end... Why would they introduce an iconic piece of TF lore (OP's trailer) just to have it blow up in the first scene.

There's got to be a plot device associated with the trailer... I have seen some pics of the pyro-flatbed and it does seem to have some "damage" set pieces on it.

I guess well find out more as the Chicago days go on, as more fans get out their cameras.

That makes a lot of sense, I was trying to work out why his trailer would be covered in concrete and junk but I think you've just solved it.  

So he turns a corner, comes under massive fire, the trailer gets totaled utterly wrecking the street behind/around it and then he transforms and lays some smackdown. Sounds like a good scene.

 

I read somewhere that Prime looks slightly different... As far as I can tell with all these photos on the set, I don't see any differences on Prime.. He looks the same except for that trailer behind him.. Ironhide looks the same too.....

 

It was ILM who said this, and it's for the CG models in robot mode. Just some tweaking, I think.

 

I see someone finally figured out how to make Nascar interesting.

 

I still think that debris trailer was just for some effecrs work.

I think Chicago will be at the end of the film. I was down by base camp, and who should non-chalantly walk through the crowd but Shia and his gf, Carey Mulligan!

Shia had a red scratch across his forehead. After seeing the last 2 films, it's a good bet that any battle-damage cones at the end.

OK a couple of questions why do some of the cars have foreign license plates, are autobots coming from foreign countries?

Also, throughout videos, reports, and pics we've seen Michael Bay, Shia, Patrick Dempsey, and Tyrese but no Josh Dumhamel yet? He is coming back right? It would just seem that if we saw Tyrese and NEST we would see him, after all he is the boss of NEST.

 

Where are the pics of Bay, Dempsey, and Tyrese. Ive seen Shia and his Stunt double running though..........

 

Not sure about the plates though, both the Mercedes and the Ferrari have them, very odd, oh and another thing the 3 nascars have no transformers logo them at all.......

Really???? Interesting......When I was down there I really didnt see anybody, but the closest I came to seeing someone were racks with a ton of Nest gear on it that said on the rack "Epps Team"

So I'm not familiar on the whole stuniticon thing so forgive my next theory here but I don't think any of the other semis there are the big guy Motor master or whatever his name is BUT what if the nascars are stunitcons and the chase scene are them "luring" the autobots to the big motor guy and he suddenly shows up in CGI robot mode (hence why there is no sight of a car version of him yet) and he blows up Prime's trailor and he is the giant decepticon that rips apart that building over there and tips it on its side and is the reason for the moving platform scene filming we saw earlier.

OR, someone mentioned humans turning against autobots or something and though things are definately cleaned up in post production as great as those nascars are they seem a bit...plastic, maybe it is a faction of humans trying to make the autobots look evil.

Going back to my earlier point, anyone seen Josh?

yep nascar would be real interesting with those rides!!! I'm really still wanting to know about the red ferrari!

 

I want to know where Josh is too. My best guess right now is that they're filming his part in Chicago later.

 

I hope not, I want to see actual Decepticons from those things.
