Over the course of the movies I have seen several instances where the joints of the transformers kinda... look weird like they are not connected at all. I tried to ignore it for a while, but I just couldn't look over it. Like here with the first Megatron: that joint doesn't seem to be connected to his body at all. And here with bumblebee: looks kinda loosely attached Could someone explain this to me?
They're alien robots that can change forms between vehicles. Is it really worth questioning their joints when the entire mechanical make-up of a freakin' car becomes their body?
Yep they are made from an alien material/s and have an alien anatomy both of which we barely understand. Failing that incontinuity reason, you have a good eye and found some places where the special effects were a little off. Kinda like the car in the far background during Braveheart.
I guess I'm not seeing the issue. Are you expecting these robots to mimic the anatomy of a human? Because, no they don't.
Good eye. This doesn't particularly bother me, as it's kind of a minor detail, and robotic joints are going to be stronger than human muscle, but I have to be impressed that you've caught this.
I work in a agricultural workshop. You'd be surprised how little some bolts are that hold big things together
