Man, I am really glad everyone seems happy about this reveal, but I can\'t help but feel...disappointed. I mean this does honestly makes the most sense for a Dracula crossover, but I was just hoping for something a bit bigger that transformed into a hearse or something. Again, this makes the most sense if I\'m being real, but I just don\'t like this mold and the overall look hurts for me. Ah well, Good to see the forum enjoy a release.
Gonna be honest, kinda disappointed. All the hype for a Dracula Transformer for a Mindwipe remold? Especially a mold with wing issues. Hard pass.
I’m not sure how anyone could truly be disappointed in this reveal. We’ve know this to be the case for months from the usual sources. That’s why I put any money set aside for this collab to better use elsewhere long ago.
Yeah, we've know what this was gonna be for months now and it is exactly that. I want it enough to buy it even if Mindwipe's mold isn't an absolute favorite of mine. Still a cool idea that gives Ectotron and Gigawatt someone to fight. If I was going to complain about anything it's the lack luster fictional set up. Just off the top of my head in TF history we have The Dweller in the Depths who turned TFs into energon vampires, and Bomb-Burst an actual existing Vampire Decepticon, and the Sparkeater vampires from the IDW comics. Any of those things (and probably others) could have easily been worked into a fictional set up around this guy to bring him to life with a story and a fun place in the world either through on package text, product copy, or any form of pack in fiction, or a Comic like Ectotron and Gigawatt got. When you do something like this go all out, and really sell it with fiction and world building imo. -ZacWilliam, that kind of product-attached fiction and world building has been one of the current teams weak spot I think.
Honestly, I wasn't paying too close attention to the news. Guess I was hoping for it to be a unique mold or something more creative, like JP93 or Ectotron.
I like that Hasbro are willing to do fun goofy things like this. And, I guess if you’re going to do a Dracula TF from an existing mold, there probably aren’t any others that would make as much sense as Mindwipe. I don’t think the Mindwipe mold is a particularly good one from a technical perspective (kinda fiddly) but it does look fun. Plus, the box looks great. I’ll pass on this one, but I’m curious as to how they might tackle a Frankenstein. If only there were a Bulkhead mold they would be likely to use for him…
I preordered, but I'm not 100% feeling it, so I don't know if it's a keeper. I do like that he's apparently not a Headmaster anymore, I'd like to know how they pulled that off. The packaging is AWESOME.
My brother asked me if I thought they could do him. I think Hasbro would want him to TF. (I mean they made the Quintessons transform) I told him I don't think that would be hard if you didn't mind the made-up altmode being ugly. And why would you mind that for G1 Frankenbot. -ZacWilliam, I would buy it.
That is so ridiculous I love it. I don”t collect collaboratives though. Preordered Road Rage from Target so fingers crossed.
bleh bleh bleh LOL My bad couldn't resist that joke from Hotel Transylvania. But anyways it doesn't look too bad...hopefully they do the other monsters.
