Do you think that Hasbro could release in a DVD the deleted and alternated scenes of TF:TM? cause it would be cool to see what happened off screen in a DVD/Blue Ray

I doubt any of those scenes were even filmed, if they existed at all.

I believe there was storyboard art of Red Alert (I think) getting killed, so there's something.

But I would like to see a deleted scene of what happened to Wheeljack and Windcharger.

And if there are any deleted scenes of the deaths of Skids & Mudflap...

Wrong movie, bro. OP's talking about the 1986 animated movie, not the Bay live action ones.

This has been discussed many many times here in the past. None of the 'deleted' scenes made it past storyboard IIRC.

    This.

None of those scenes moved beyond the storyboard stage (animation is expensive!) - and this has been discussed countless times (in recent months to boot)

IIRC, the 20th anniversary dvd had some pretty good featurettes including a lot of the storyboarding, and wasn't an original storyboard set (or a good chunk of it) made available online a while back?

I remember there's one of the extras on the 20th anniversary dvd where it shoes a trailer of the movie. Ultra Mangus was colored differently. I want to say that Arcee was shown on the shuttle that Kup, Hot Rod, and the Dinobots were on instead of the one with Ultra Magnus, Springer, Blurr, and Perceptor. I think that the entire trailer was scenes that were not actually from the movie. I don't know if those scenes were originally intended to be in the movie or if they were created specifically for that trailer.

^It was just for the trailer so they could shop it around and show what it would look like. That's about as close to a "deleted scene" from the movie that there is, but people still keep insisting otherwise

If memory serves there was one small deleted part that was fully animated where after Astrotrain flew away from Autobot City the camera panned up to show Autobots in the far distance stood around (or running to? I forget) the fallen Optimus Prime. It was very short though, probably less than two seconds of extra footage. It was included as an extra on one of the UK movie DVDs.

What I would love to see though would be some fans with great art and animation skills take the old storyboard deleted scenes and actually turn them into real footage. I'm not talking about animating the storyboard artwork itself like an animatic but actually drawing, colouring and animating the scenes along with recording sound and dialogue so they fit seamlessly into the rest of the movie to make an extended cut.

Gingerchris, you've just described what I've wanted 2 see for years. Botcon once did an animated CGI, the Golden Disk, that was a prequel to Beast Wars. Be nice if they did what you suggested with animating the storyboards. Really would make for a fantastic convention.

I don't care if it's traditional animation or cgi once it fitted in with the movie. Slag it, get them to animate the Cyclonus-Rodimus 2pack comic and the prologue and epilogue from Wings of Honour as well.

Sideswipe, according to the storyboards, pretty much survived. Ultra Magnus led Red Alert, Tracks, and SS to confront Devastator after the Dinobots attacked the gestalt.

Bluestreak was shown to be in the path of Devi's wrath. In this storyboard Wheeljack was still alive. Smokescreen died with Windcharger.

Not sure if any of you guys know this, but I look at it every now and then though it hasn't been updated for years. Http://www.wombatking.com

I love the 20th ann DVD because there is a version you can watch with "pop ups". During the scene where Magnus explodes, you can hit select ( I think ) and it will play the audio of that scene over top of the storyboards as it was originally intended and you get to watch Magnus get ripped apart instead of just exploding.

wheelie and daniel became close friends and hung out a lot during headmasters. They tricked trypticon into falling off a cliff. Then wheelie got hammered off energon wine at a party.
