Just a thought: I'd suggest either losing the logo, or making something much smaller and more subtle. That "Kuma Style" logo is way too big and way too distracting to fit in with whatever you're photographing.

Can I get a gauge of what's allowed here and what isn't?





Those 2 weren't taken with a light box, and they aren't "super clear" (then again, neither are my lightbox shots), but they don't have what I'd consider a distracting background





Those 2 were taken on cloth backdrops on my bed. Does that count as overly distracting? (I don't tend to take pictures there anymore anyway)







Those were taken in a lightbox, but they're not all "supah cleah infinite white/black." Do they still count?

 

I'd think all of those would count, Abrogate. I think the idea is that the photos are a nice, clean shot of the toy with as little distraction as possible from the background. But we're still testing the waters, so we'll see in time what floats and what doesn't.

 

Figured this picture would be fitting for this thread. The blatant disregard for for background lighting is intentional.



Here's a tip for those of you that know how to use images hosted on picasaweb. The last directory in the URL path before the file name actually controls the image size. So for this thread replacing /s720/ with /s1000/ will set your pictures to a 1000 pixel max value, and scale them accordingly.

Nope. There's a lot more to it than just being a logo. It will stay.

And Abrogate, and everyone else:

No one besides a few jerks that don't even contribute anything have ever been rude or condescending to other picture posters, and more than willingto help with any questions regarding style or improvement.

The thread title is just a name. He states clearly in the rules that it's just made to seperate the lightbox pictures and the outside/heavily photoshopped pictures, since there was a big rift in the other htread about the lightbox pictures not belonging.

Just post pictures guys. Nothing to be insecure about. If it's in a lightbox, bring it!

No, lol, what I meant was maybe the type of lighting recommended or used can be in the first post. Does anyone have any recommendations for lighting, lightbulbs, wattage, number of bulbs, brands, etc??
