Prime is sooo much better. The Autobots actually have meaningful things to say instead of the Bayformer Optimus' Platitudey speeches and the other bots' inane one line quips. You care about them a lot more in Prime- granted, it is a series and they have more room to do so, but they could have done so much more with the limited speak time in the movie- look at what they did with Magneto in x-men (short monologues that expressed a 1000 words).

Well that is just my Opinion- I don't think the movies were bad (except for the teenage masturbation fodder- sad how one bad thing will taint the lot for the rest of the population) - the films were awesome actually, and they breathed life and interest back into this franchise.

It's unbelievable to me that a show targeted at kids could be more mature and have far superior writing and character development. The movies can't even hold a candle to Transformers Prime. It's better written AND more epic!
For those who dislike Shadowzone, I'll take that anyday over Devastator's balls, Dog and Wheelie humping, or Sam and "Deep Wang" in a bathroom stall.

Yeah, but they were always just too busy focussing on Sam and his girl. Of course, I think the real reason why you didn't see the robots much is because the studio and Bay didn't want to spend any more money on CGI and special effects which is quite expensive. Of course if they cut out at least half of the unnecessary and annoying humans in the films, maybe they could have had the money. But this is Bay, and personally, I don't think he really digs giant robots deep down inside. And I agree. For the limited time we saw the bots, they could have done more with them. The TFP episodes are only 20 minutes long and they do more with the bots in those 20 minutes than the movies do in 2.5 hours.

I voted both simply because while the writing in Prime is FAR superior,I still love the designs for both. Besides, the movies introduced me to TFs,so I should at least show them some credit

Prime. I really only think the movies are superior in the vein of transformations, they just look so complex and intricate and I love that. Plus, they have better presentation (better shots, more dynamic scenes), but given the difference in budget I can excuse that. I just love Prime's style of transformers, they'd look totally beleiveable if they were real, yet don't have that incredibly complex look. Plus, the ongoing plot is soooo much better. Just my opinion though.

When it comes to writing and characters, TF: Prime is the winner.

The movies lack care of the TFs as characters in their own right and lack stronger stories and relationships that could have made the action more engaging. Prime has strong writing for a few of them; Arcee and Starscream especially. The TF's relationships with each other and the humans are actually focused on.

But my preferred verse is still the movieverse. Love the designs and the characters, and prefer several of the humans in the films over the kids in Prime.

The potential the movie verse had was so immense. If the movieverse had stronger writing and more development for the Transformers, there would absolutely be no contest for me between the two - movieverse all the way.

    Transformers Prime and Animated,

Michael Bay's Transformers movies are barely about the Transformers but Shia Labouef and his lady friends. Anyone who was not Optimus Prime or Bumblebee was misused in everyway.

Bayformers is honestly worst the Unicron Trilogy.

Prime might be boring but damnit i'l take a better story over Bayformers.

Since the movies only do one thing right (action, and only that when Bay is forced to pull back and stay still for 3D) this is a complete no brainer.
